Man. Was nice to have someone in Pullman who makes this shitass conference look a little stronger and more entertaining while still losing every game to UW and not competing for recruits. Checked all the boxes.

I'm hearing leaving was really hard for him.GrundleStiltzkin said:Leach needs to stay put. The kids need him.
ATBS, I greatly enjoy this annual exercise of Leech trying like hell to get out of Pullman, and failing because no one will take him.

One could say much the same about Pete leaving after Mario stole his lunch money the past two years.NorwegianHusky said:Man. I don't think any UO fans were saddened to see Pete go.MisterEm said:

I'm legitimately bummed. -
I need the Leach banana fumble gif ASAP!

He always comes out a little better after flirting with other jobs. Thing is, programs will always have a tough time hiring him because of the guy he is.dnc said: -
I know Graham Harrell just signed an extension at USC. But being the head coach almost anywhere beats being on staff with a deadman walking coach. He's a leach disciple, so it wouldn't be a major adjustment

Never mind, he got the job. I thought it was gonna be Sark?

He’d be my top pick. If I were a Cuog my shortlist would be:PandaOrangeChiknDuck said:I know Graham Harrell just signed an extension at USC. But being the head coach almost anywhere beats being on staff with a deadman walking coach. He's a leach disciple, so it wouldn't be a major adjustment
1) Harrell
2) Alex Grinch
3) Beau Baldwin -

Do extensions--or football coaching contracts in general--mean fuck all anymore? Leach was just extended as well. All that accomplished was sticking Mississippi State with a bigger buyout. Reports are that MSU will owe WSU $2.25 million. Can't find Harrell's buyout, but considering that's twice his salary, I think the Cougs would come out ahead.PandaOrangeChiknDuck said:I know Graham Harrell just signed an extension at USC. I actually think your idea makes sense--at least from a WSU perspective. It would offer offensive continuity, at least, which is all the Cougs have had going for them. And they could triple his current salary and still save a million a year vs. what they were paying Leach. Besides, what proven, winning coach is going to want that job? -
slingblade gonna get a call for cuog?

What is going on in Pete's mind during that greeting?Beno4Life said: -
I like how Grinch gave up 56 points to LSU in the first half and is now known for improving the OU defense
Doesn't mean h couldn't be a good head coach I just found it amusing -
Lateral move at best. They probably pay about the same and it’s much harder to win at WSU.dnc said: -

Why no one is worried that WSU is going to poach our best defensive staff member for HC is beyond me. I'm super worried they will take Bob Gregory from us. The lifeblood of the defense during the Pete era.
Edit: I hope no one starts this kind of rumor on Twitter. -
Maybe there's some daddy issue coeds in Pullman who need grief consolation at this loss?
@Pitchfork51 - you down for a road trip?
