Jerry Brown directly blamed climate change for the drought in California a few years back. When we had unseasonably wet weather last year ending the drought that too was blamed on climate change.MikeDamone said:
I was in Yellowstone in 1989 right before it exploded with fire. While there I saw some fire and the rangers I talked to told me they don’t fight the fires there unless they threaten buildings or historic sites. As it played out, there was a drought that year and winds came in an it went off to become the worst fire there ever. There was zero talk that it was climate change. It was a combination of weather, forest management, pine beetle damage and fire management practices.Dugdawg said:
So? The average road opening date is mid June.Sledog said:
Went up to glacier last June. Couldn't even go through as they hadn't gotten the snow removed from the going to the sun road.Dugdawg said:If you bothered to look into it you would find that 81% of the Glaciers at Glacier NP are gone. I care. You don't. If you are looking for something truly funny to mock I would suggest this:
Kiss my ass.
Last time we were there the road was closed because of fires.
If the same thing happened today, all other reasons would take a back seat to climate change. It would be unquestioned in the media and politics. I’ve seen many in the media say with authority and unchallenged that hurricanes, fires, severe weather, floods, etc are now all caused by climate change. The fact is that climate related deaths are at an all time low. Sorry Greta, people aren’t dying or becoming extinct. I know that’s disappointing for many leftists here.
