Thus wisdom is actively prevented by Leftist ideology.
This is why a previously-suicidal adolescent finds her life's meaning in Leftist activism and is then elevated to the absurd position of global "thought-leader" for Leftists.
Facts don't matter to the Left. Global warming is proven false but continues as a "cause" of the childish Left because it "feels right" to demand ruinous economic policy of a prosperous society.
Every generation must take up the task of exposing the fraudulent narratives of these power-hungry ideologues. We are forever susceptible to the catastrophic damage they do when given political power:
* A worldview consisting of "Oppressors and the Oppressed" (a mirror of Marxist "haves and have-nots") produces only zero-sum narratives about human affairs.
In this primitive, age-of-conquest worldview, a person or group that succeeds must always have done so at others' expense.
Since "oppression-based" ideology prevents the recognition of a net-gain; of created value, the prosperity enjoyed by the USA must be a product of oppressing others. The success generated by an individual or corporation must be the ill-got spoils of suppressing others' success.
If no new value is recognized (every interaction is a win/lose, zero-sum event) then your success must be PREVENTED in order to 'protect' others from harm.
This primitive and destructive thinking provides the ideological foundation for the Left's approach to all human affairs. When given political power, it becomes the basis for both domestic and foreign policy.
* Equality of each person under law is replaced by their "social justice agenda" a version of "justice" which authorizes government to pursue an ideological vision of society. This is, of course, an unlimited authorization of force. It can only result in totalitarian control.
* Civil unrest fomented by class and or identity-group conflict - perpetuating this unrest provides the rationale for continued social engineering.
* The "Social justice " agenda mandates opposition to the interests of regular, middle-class, tax-paying citizens. It is not possible to simply "tolerate" burglary, robbery, vandalism, rioting, squatting on public or others' property, exposing others to bio-hazards or other behaviors that threaten public order.
Why?
The process of accommodating behavior that harms others REQUIRES preferential treatment of the perpetrators.
This is why the middle-class shrinks and or flees places where Leftism is in power. Leftist ideology destroys every thriving, prosperous society it tries to "reform" because a thriving, prosperous society cannot be achieved by totalitarian control.
Progress, prosperity and human thriving are results of Ordered Liberty; a condition achieved when each person's right to his own life, mind, speech, economic activity and property enjoys EQUAL defense of the law and interaction is therefore based on MUTUAL CONSENT.
