Yeah but Kal loses Evan "Weeble" Weavers. Who's going to take over the tall skinny black dude that looks like he hasn't had a meal in a month?

Chase has become very comfortable with the three-TE set

Sounds like Garbers got hurt vs good teams
-
Cal had their opportunity this year. Don't see that coming back.

So much this. Wilcox is a builder of defense, but a lot of Cal's successs on that side of the ball was rosy cheeks, who by Cal standards is a once-in-a-decade player. Kid is a tackling machine and has a fucking motor on him. They will not have anyone to take his place.DawgDaze71 said:Yeah but Kal loses Evan "Weeble" Weavers. There's A LOT wrong with that. -
Don't you guys even try to fuck up my annual offseason of delusion. Cal will win the North!.. until we don't. Again.

I was going to post a ? on Handicapping the North in 2020 but I'll cheat and just use this one.
#1) Oregon. Defense keeps them in every game, and they will stick with run and their identity even though they lose alot on O. Also miss Utah and get 4 toughest games at home (SC/UW/Stanford/ASU). Game at Cal will determine if they have it locked up early November like this season.
#2) Cal. 18 starters back including Garbers. Talent level is 8th/9th in conference, but Wilcox has them convinced and the team believes the whole is far greater than the some of the parts. Schedule also works for them as they get SC/Oregon/UW/Utah at home.
#3) UW. Until our offense shows otherwise it's broke. Add in so much youth and inexpereince on that side of the ball along with road schedule (at SC/Cal/Oregon/Utah) and not hard to see minimum 2 losses if not more. Home game with Stanford will also be a grinder as Shaw knows exactly what to do versus the defense to shorten the game and give themselves every chance to win.
Don't care about 4-6

UW will finish ahead of Cal
-
They lose Ashtyn Davis (potential first rounder) too. Hard to see cal replacing those 2 pieces.creepycoug said:
