Unfortunately Braveheart doesn’t hold up either.

The Chris Pine movie about Robert the Bruce on Netflix is better.

I still like Braveheart but it's pretty cheese ball at times.

Oh I used to love it when I was a kid. But recent viewing was pretty disappointing. Corny as fuck. And the turn to camera winks were eye roll inducing.

Braveheart and Libertarianism are things one outgrows.

You remember your braveheart and Libertarian phase?

Mature people grow into authoritarian statists. How progressive!
I love Libertarian ideas in theory. Wish we could get more of them implemented. Alas, politics is the art of the possible and we're rowing against a strong current.

Catering to libertarian sensibilities and impulses where that also results in practical policy, sure. Libertarianism as a governing philosophy is incoherent.

I’m not at all sold on the “progressive“ agenda, at least as the term is currently defined. My preferred candidate is Klobuchar. I hope we don’t have to choose between a “progressive” and the orange ass clown.

By contrast, you think Daddy is a good President. You think Abe Lincoln was a POS. And if you had your druthers you’d vote for Rand Paul. Fuck off indeed.
