Anyone who actually watches the games can see that the team is no where near special and has not shown that it is progressing at any significant rate.

Defense:

The zone is no longer a dominate defensive signature but instead just a change-up. Mcdaniels is a liability in the zone defense which is why he is no longer playing at the top and why we so often play man. No scheme or consistency, spacing and off ball movement is still weird as fuck. It really seems like the scheme is mostly try to give the ball to the post after a halfhearted high screen or see which player can take his man one on one and make a pull-up jumper. The ball is rarely swung quickly across the 3 pt line to an open shooter, there are very few drive and kicks to an open shot, baseline/backdoor cuts, ball screens with a purpose.... anything more than a IMA game plan on offense would be nice.

Stewart is carrying the entire team on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, way more than he should have to against shit opponents.

TLDR: team seems especially dumb. pp not hard. Stewart god.

Agree. McDaniels is at times a liability on offense. Always looking to get himself going. Too many not-so-great shots early in possessions. When he creates for others, many times it's to bail himself out.

Nah we'll be a top 3 or 4 Pac team and make the 32 or Sweet 16.

Stewart is a beast and Quade is improving.

McDaniels and Naz are good but not great scoring threats and good athletes.

Defense has regressed and offense remains a total shit show outside of Stewart inside.

Will be lucky to get past the first weekend.
