Harrison Ford I'm sure demanded to be killed off. And he demanded 20 million. Shit series, shit movies.
The icing on the cake was Leia flying through space. The worst scene in cinema history. I LOL'd in the theatre..didn't really go over well with a few people around me. -

Star Wars was pretty fucking cool to a 10 year old kid. I remember hiding out in the theater so we could watch it a second time because we thought it was so cool the first time. I'm not sure if my dads felt the same way. I know I haven't given a fuck about a Star Wars movie since maybe Empire. The fucking Ewoks ruined the whole thing for me.

The only good things in the Sta Wars universe since Empire are Slave Suit Leia, Rogue One, and The Mandalorian. Everything else has been shit. Well, I thought Solo was just above shit, but not great. It's devolved into a GI Joe movie in space now. Joke.

Solo was shit. Not because of the script, which was mediocre. Because of the cinematography. Heey, we've got all this money and scifi shit, lets have horrible lighting and framing because we gotta make it GRITTY

I pretty much don't like any Star Wars other than the original films when I'm in the right mood. Sci fi ain't my bag, baby. Maybe it's unfair that we put SW on a pedestal and under a microscope at the same time, but it's impossible to make one that truly captures the mythic magic of the originals. At least TLJ tried to be fresh. This one wasn't -

Read the spoilers bc idgaf at this point. Awful. Won't see it in theaters. Probably won't even watch it at all. Sad to see how far star wars has fallen.
