After watching Die Hard this weekend, I decided to look up if USC and Notre Dame either could have played in a bowl game on Xmas Eve or did play in a bowl on Xmas Eve in 1988.DerekJohnson said:

This bothers me way more than it probably should. Jan 1 is a sacrosanct date in CFB. And ESPN has fouled it.
