Lake's first moves Gregory / hamdum

Then Huff.....

My guess is Gregory and Bush gone...rest will stay on offense until they identify the new OC at which point he will push for whatever changes he wants/needs for his scheme.
I would love to see Sirmon come in as LB coach, but with his son in the group think that wouldn't be the best idea. Hope this means Alexander coming in as well... -
Don't really see a reason to muff (LOL!) Huff yet. Line wasn't pretty this season but I don't remember this being a trend with him yet.
-
Huff will stay. Gregory and Bush are gone, Harris is in at DB. Question is OC and LB hire - two crucial hires. We nail them and we win 11 next year.
-
I don't care if he replaces the rest of the staff as long as Kawasaki is given a 10 year extension
-
Kawasaki needs to STAY.
-
What's the relationship between the two? Can Kawasaki work for a guy who used to work for him?jecornel said:Kawasaki needs to STAY.

It will be very telling if Bush stays. Bush staying means that Lake decided that this seasons's offensive woes were more Petersen's philosophy than Hamdan's play-calling
-
Does Kwiatkowski even stay now? He's Pete's right hand man. They're attached at the hip.

Where's Kwat gonna go?CallMeBigErn said:Does Kwiatkowski even stay now? He's Pete's right hand man. They're attached at the hip.
Pete is done with coaching. I would venture to guess that Lake & Kwat have a good enough relationship that Kwat will stay as DC. -
I don't picture Alexander coming over to take the same role. Would love it, but he's gonna be a DC somewhere soon and I pray we keep Kwat.
-
Kwat has ROOTS! What university is going to offer what he has here? Kwat appears to be a reasonable and rational human.
-
Haven’t made much, of any improvement with him as the OL coach. I don’t think he’s completely horrible, but the returns are that he’s an average coach.CuntWaffle said:Don't really see a reason to muff (LOL!) Huff yet. Cal was very bad against the pass this year. He is a doog legend.UWhuskytskeet said:I don't picture Alexander coming over to take the same role. Would love it, but he's gonna be a DC somewhere soon and I pray we keep Kwat.

Fire Bush now and let Pete call plays in the fried Oreo bowl that we play in. There’s absolutely nothing to be gained by keeping him on at this point
-
This. I like that this makes it easier to axe every offensive coach. I would like Malloe to stay too. He’s a valuable asset. Don’t care one bit about any others.insinceredawg said:I don't care if he replaces the rest of the staff as long as Kawasaki is given a 10 year extension

Too lazy to look up the stats but is this true? They shut down UW (lulz), Oregon, and WSU.RoadDawg55 said:

Contrary to popular belief, results show that he is also a mediocre re ruiterRoadDawg55 said:

It’s almost like kids don’t want to go to Cal unless they have to. Kids commit to schools and head coaches, not position coaches. Very few position coaches have the type of pull where they can get kids to turn down schools that are better than the one they work at.bananasnblondes said:

How about this for a defensive staff? Dennison has coached both inside and outside backers. PK can help out with OLBs if necessary. Split the secondary duties since that's the largest position group.
DC: Kwiatkowski
DL: Malloe
LB: Cort Dennison
Co-DC/CB: Alexander
S: Harris -
No on Huff. The OL problems are systemic. The same issues that confuse the QB and require receivers to learn for 4 years before they understand the offense are multiplied by 10 for the OL.jecornel said:Removed.

We been over this. Chris Petersen was the problem with the offense. Give Bush a chance to implement his own offense.
-
The problems with the system don't excuse Hamdan's horrible in-game playcalling and managing various scenarios. The guy needs to go.Bread said:We been over this. Chris Petersen was the problem with the offense. Give Bush a chance to implement his own offense.

The issues were greater than the system when it comes to Hamdan. He s not a sharp offensive mind in terms of scheme and play calling.Bread said:We been over this. Chris Petersen was the problem with the offense. Give Bush a chance to implement his own offense.
Hamdan should have never left the WR position coach position at UW. He was thriving there, and has sucked at everything he's done since. -
We? have a lot of spare money now. Go get a top OC.
