Why is it a foregone conclusion that Oregon will win out?

True. Weird shit always happens down in the desert. And Utah is legit.1to392831weretaken said:Why is it a foregone conclusion that Oregon will win out?

I doubt they will, which would be the best outcome honestly. I don't think Oregon has the skill position players, particularly in the backfield, or the defensive line, to play with Ohio State or Clemson.1to392831weretaken said:Why is it a foregone conclusion that Oregon will win out?
I think they have more than enough to play with Michigan or Penn State or Minnesota.
It's a chintresting question: would you rather be mauled in the dance or win the Rose Bowl? -
the playoff selection committee is working out the calculus to get Alabama into the playoffs regardless of what happens the rest of the season.
-
The real question is how far will oregon drop after losing there last 2 to Utes and Beav.

Oregon has a legit OL, Herbert is good enough, and their D was good for much of the season. I don’t think they have much of a chance, but their playing style doesn’t lead to blowouts.creepycoug said:

Still not completely sold on Cristobal, but he does emphasize line play and running the ball. That’s all it really takes in the PAC 12, which is typically a skilled but soft conference. -
Until the Pac 12 can convincingly win a big ooc game, it cant.
USC beating Penn State in '16 was the last one, and that was a miracle Darnold comeback -
Does beating the defending champions who were on a 26 game win streak, in a playoff semi-final Rose Bowl game, count?PostGameOrangeSlices said:Until the Pac 12 can convincingly win a big ooc game, it cant.
