It's a documentary, not a drama based on real events, but for motorsports movies, my favorite ever is Faster.

It's the only thing I've ever watched that really changed my life. Growing up poor white trash, I had no idea that racing even existed outside of four wheels and long ovals. "Holy shit, this is a thing!?" Finished watching the movie, went out and bought a motorcycle without even trying one first, and the rest was history.
