Here's some bull shit piece from 2016 on Fox (sports is your source?) of a 24 team "super conference". Oregon, Stanford UCLA and UW out. Lol.

You'd have to add UW to the West along with either ASU or Utah.

No, I like what they're trying to do to crown a true champion with a playoff
    Probably?

voting no but not sold on it - as long as a committee rates the teams I think it will be political. I know take it to the tug.

using 7 computer ranking systems and getting the average for playoffs sounds better than a committee. 4 spots and 5 conferences sucks. Two teams from one conference is a big screw up - can't win your conference? no playoffs.

Take it to 8 teams - 5 conference champs, best from the group of 6 what ever that is and Bama/LSU/Ga/Fla (two o them that didn't win the conf)

    The gay option

go to 4 divisions - each division would have 40 teams - 4 10 team leagues. 4 winners go to playoffs.

Bottom 2 from each first division league drop to a second division league, second to third, third to fourth, fourth to oblivion.
Top two from fourth div leagues go to third div leagues, third to second, second to first.

just like soccer in Europe. All the lefties in the tug would be happy

Fuck this abortion they have now. It’s as if they purposely devised a plan to suck all the fun and joy out of college football

Use all the bowl results to come up with the final rankings at least. Makes the ny6 games a sort of play in to be in the natty.

Have a fucking play off or don’t. “Use the bowls as playoff games” is stupid. Just have a playoff and scrap the bowls or scrap the playoff and keep the bowls. They hybrid compromise sucks ass. FCS division figured it out. Why do people think it’s so complicated and the FBS Division is so unique that a normal playoff can’t happen.

Christ almighty fuck me. Here comes "how my playoffs system would work" guy. We get it. There are 256 ways it would work. Yes... every other division does it. But the bowls were different different. Who likes the mini NFL? Mouthbreathing trogs.

    Tommy gets it.

Wow, that’s some serious recency bias right there Fox.

Going backwards to the bowl system would be pretty gay. Just make the playoff better. More great games is a good thing.

To add: Adam Jude was an AP voter up until last year. Adam fucking Jude would’ve had a 1/65th say in crowning a national champion. No thanks

Right now Ty is one of a lot less than 65 choosing the teams that play for the national championship. There will always be idiots who don’t belong voting.

I want an 8 team playoff. Make the NY6 bowls part of it, and let the also rans go to the non NY6 bowls.

I used to be #TeamPlayoff, but now I’m nostalgic for the old system. That being said, I can’t see how reverting back would work.

This describes my point of view perfectly

My favorite part of this thread was the people that equate promotion/relegation with communism/socialism, just because it is used in Europe. It’s actually used throughout the world, but I digress.

It is purely merit based so...like...uhhhh....the polar opposite of commie shit you crayon eating fucktards. And one more thing...the professional teams over there are privately owned and don’t operate on a protectionist franchise model like our? leagues. There is no salary cap or revenue sharing or draft. Make money, win, scout better, get a rich ownership group and better sponsorship deals or fuck off and go play in the little leagues. Only in America do they let the losers get first pick in the draft and remain in the big leagues. The NFL even gives them an easier schedule the next year. Bunch of red fucking commie losers in America!

Anyone paying mild attention understands that international soccer is full boner, competitive, open free market capitalist based.

I enjoy a bunch of anti capitalist shit tier countries embracing the raw capitalist competitive system.

The commie stuff was just a bit of tongue-in-cheek. Relax. Don’t be so sensitive and easily triggered J.

If your response is some obscure soccer related rage commie copypasta. Then woosh me.
