He’s a racist who wants to make it illegal for people to work.

“We regard the minimum wage rate as one of the most, if not the most, antiblack laws on the statute books. The government first provides schools in which many young people, disproportionately black, are educated so poorly that they do not have the skills that would enable them to get good wages. It then penalizes them a second time by preventing them from offering to work for low wages as a means of inducing employers to give them on-the-job training. All this is in the name of helping the poor.”

Hondo feels that the minimum wage, along with Medicare is what made us into a Super Power.

There is no argument Mike. You clearly laid it out that The minimum wage is the most anti black law there is.

Take away the strawman and Hondo has nothing.

    He won’t read it. https://www.forbes.com/sites/carriesheffield/2014/04/29/on-the-historically-racist-motivations-behind-minimum-wage/

He is the biggest combination of mouth and ignorance I've ever encountered. It really is like the analogy of playing chess with a pigeon.

“Never play chess with a pigeon.

The pigeon just knocks all the pieces over.

Then shits all over the board.

Then struts around like it won.”

Hondo marches into the middle of the town square, drops his pants and paints his ass red and then thinks he is "winning" because people take notice.

I know what the cbo predicts Mike. You also said the same when Seattle went to $15 an hour minimum wage. And you can post that UW study again too....Or post the one restaurant you found in Seattle that says they closed because the minimum wage.... But then look at reality.... And history suggests you are wrong.

“Hondo” has become a euphemism for ignorant leftist. It’s not really directed at Hondo specifically anymore.

Mike chooses to ignore history and actual facts.

96/97 minimum wage increased. What happened to employment levels?

2007 minimum wage increased. Of course employment cratered after that, unrelated.

But July 09 was the last time it was increased. And shockingly employment went up after that.

Jesus Fucking Chris! Who has the patience to teach Econ 101 to this brainless idiot?

Minimum Wage increases are a "response" to market conditions, which ipso facto trail the market, you moron, designed to help people keep up and not fall behind the rising costs of living caused by a healthy growing economy. If they are mis-timed, or done for political versus economic reasons, they can act as a brake on economic growth.

Yet here is HondoTheIdiot claiming they boost the economy or cause economic growth.

All of which begs the obvious question: Why didn't Hondo's parents kill him at birth?

Were they a "brake on economic growth" in 96/97? What about 09? Hell what about 1991?

Mike believes all actual facts against what he wants to think. There's this mythical "wage growth would have been bigger if". Just like we would have won the Natty in 16 if we had Eason rather than Browning.

You mean "facts" like this Hondo?

Businesses already were flush with cash, giving them a tax cut won't help with investment. And do you think Bill Gates even noticed his tax cut? Meanwhile you saved $150 a year. Which I'm sure your bartender was grateful for.

Did Hondo just have a stroke? Should Stalin send someone over for a welfare check?
