The original NCAA basketball tourney was 8 teams.
By the time it got to 64 even that wasn't enough
Stop ruining college football and watch the fucking NFL already -

Too complicated. 8 teams is fine and basically keeps the bowl structure that would be playoff games. It would add one more game for the winner and runner up. 5 conference winners, 3 at large berths.

Michigan still wouldn't get in.

The reason the NCAA tournament is so large is because you have over 300 teams and 20-25 conferences. The FBS has 126 or so teams and 10 or so conferences. Allow each Power 5 champion an automatic bid, then select 3 at larges, with one needing to be outside the power five minus Notre Dame. Notre Dame can fight for one of the two remaining at larges.RoadDawg55 said:Too complicated. 8 teams is fine and basically keeps the bowl structure that would be playoff games. Fuck Notre Dame. Join a conference and pop off. They do play a tough enough schedule that it’s fair they can have an At Large with an 11-1 season.greenblood said:
