Acknowledging that black people and white people use marijuana at a similar rate but black people are much more likely to go to jail for it matters. Acknowledging that experiences of people of color are different from those of white people matters.
“Race doesn’t matter” however it’s used in the video is cover. It’s cover to support racist policies. It’s cover to be in the party of Nazis and white supremacists.
We have two political parties in this country. One acknowledges racism and that race matters, that party is overwhelmingly supported by people of color. The other says race doesn’t matter and America can’t be racist because we had a black president, that party is supported by Nazis and white supremacists. Think. About. It.
If you had said the goal is for race to not matter, that would have been great. Perhaps a bit utopian but possible and admirable. You didn’t, because that’s not the argument. The overwhelmingly white group that wants to push the narrative that race means nothing because they want to continue to oppress and disenfranchise people of color under the guise of equality. I support actual equality, which includes acknowledging the existence of people of color. -

And of course all of those descrepancies have to be on account of white racism. It can't be that white people who use marijuana are using it in less urban areas and not out in public as much as blacks. And blacks minors who are tried as adults more than white minors can't possibly have a more extensive criminal history than white minors thus increasing the likelihood that they will be tried as an adults. Most all minors tried as adults are arrested for violent crime. Have you looked at the violent crime rates for whites and compared to the violent crime rates for blacks?
