Ducks #7 in initial CFB Playoff Rankings

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee released its first public rankings on Tuesday night and the one-loss Oregon Ducks landed at No. 7.

Utah, also with one loss, is No. 8.

    They win out, they will be in. I would be happy with the Rose Bowl.

    Next years team will be better IMO. However our 2nd game In 2020 will be vs Ohio State at Autzen.

    SEC is getting 2....Clemson and tOSU

    Never should have scheduled Auburn

    I think if Oregon wins out they get in over the Bama-LSU loser. They'd just need the Bama-LSU winner to beat UGA.

    3 SEC teams are ranked above Oregon

    Alabama has to play LSU, Auburn and win the SEC title game, most likely against Georgia

    LSU plays Alabama and maybe SEC title game

    Georgia plays Auburn, TAMU and probably in title game

    tOSU plays Penn State, Michigan and Big Ten title game

    There is a lot of football left to play.😁

    SEC won’t get two if there are one-loss teams from other P5 conferences. I like our odds if we win out.

    For the Ducks or Utah to have a chance get in, they win out and then LSU needs to rout Bama and win the SEC championship game. A one loss PAC 12 team has always made the playoff. If the above happens, the PAC 12 will be represented.

    No idea how that shakes out, but if Penn State somehow catches Ohio State sleeping and the Bucks are back in the Rose, it'll be similar to, or worse, than what happened to UW. I like Oregon's chances against any other Big 10 team, including Penn State; but not the Buckeyes. They are going to kill anyone they play and I see them winning the title this year.

    Georgia will lose at least SEC title game, likely another league game
    LSU has won several games by close margins, including Auburn by 3. They could easily lose to Alabama and one more game (I predict 2 loss LSU).
    Alabama could easily lose to Auburn.
    SEC champion (Alabama) likely to be only team to make playoff if Utah or Oregon run the table.
    Clemson is a lock
    Ohio St is a lock
