In 1997 the Rose Bowl's payout was twice that of the Orange or Sugar. So why did the elite academis conferences agree to this BCS nonsense in the first place? You break all teams into tier 1 tier 2 and tier 3. How do you figure which team is in which tier? I don’t know use Sagarin ratings for like the last four years and average it out or something.
You play a home and home with a team from each Tier. You don’t get to pick your opponent. It’s a blind draw. Yes that means Alabama might have to go to Rice or something. Redo rankings every two years and do it again,

I can agree with this as far as same 3 and boring... I’m an SEC fan and hate to see Bama in it every year...but it still proves subjectively But less subjectively who the best team in the land is...like I said earlier, it’s either what you are a fan of or not...to see who is the best in the land.....I am. OR you are not a fan of a NCAAF more substantiated national champion and be relegated to your region and hope and pray. Whatever floats your gatdam boat. I just been making the point I’d like to see 6 teams in, all Powrr 5(every conference has a chance, and no OBK, no one in any conference is gone skate through and “hold out” their best players til CFP, ya gotta win) and 1 at large. Every power 5 team and fan will know that they ain’t possibly out getting beat week 1 by an OOC opponent. Yada yada yada, fk this, I’m goin to spook the shit outa some kids.... -

Those are the OOC games -
A better playoff would include 8 teams with NO automatic bids.
Set up a points system, based on the quality of your wins, with quality ROAD wins having a huge premium. All with no influence from rankings. Strictly merit based.
There should also be a huge penalty for playing FCS teams. No playoff team should have an FCS team on their schedule.
This would make good teams have to actually play other decent teams OOC and force the Teams from the South to actually travel outside of their time zone every year.
This expands the playoff, keeps more people engaged AND still makes every game important. It also gives no quarters to tradition or specific conference.
