Fucking retarded. Football players stay three years minimum

Have a take that doesn't suck sometime

The NFL is a better product? Jesus

College basketball is dead. An idiot that couldn't shoot and won 7 games here was the top pick

On field product? Yes it is. I prefer college to the NFL.

Wait, that’s your argument FOR the NBA?

    Bold strategy Cotton.

As usual, abundance is the correct answer.

Given the choice yes. The NBA starts the day after the super bowl

    College ball is dead

It has also hurt the NBA brand awareness for alleged stars that no one has heard of

But there will always be big stars in the NBA playoffs

Mike won the conference regular season that no one cares about and then got skull fucked by Oregon in the tournament. Then beat a mountain west team then got skull fucked by Tar Hill in the tournament that people watch.

    He hasn't proven fucking anything.

    McDaniels is legit.

Isaiah Stewart, Jaden McDaniels, Quade Green, Naz Carter, Jamel Bey, Raequan Battle, Nate Roberts, Hameir, Tshonis/Hardy, and BPJ is pretty ridiculous. We have all the components to be an elite team.
Depth is really overrated in college basketball. 8 deep with guys you trust is perfect.

I would like to see Wright get pushed out by someone better. I don’t think Roberts or BPJ will be very good yet. We need one to turn out to be at least a solid role player and back up big.

Fultz shot 64% from the line. I don’t think he was a terrible shooter, but that part of his game was likely overrated before the shoulder injury. He would have never shot 41% from three again.

Disagree about depth, it matters a lot with Pac12 refs.

Hop’s been raving about Roberts. He’s improved a lot this offseason. I think he’s going to get a lot of minutes. Dude is a freak show

Upper echelon of the Pac-12 finish + NCAA tournament early exit
People still vastly under-estimating how terrible the guard play could be to start the season, it will literally be hanging on by a thread and dependent on guys like Hardy and Naz who had limited play time last year completely carrying the load at PG... god forbid an injury happens and one of the walk-ons is forced onto the court at PG

    200 total mpg last year:

    Nowell 35 mpg
    Crisp 33 mpg
    Thybulle 31 mpg
    Dickerson 26 mpg
    Green 23 mpg
    Carter 21 mpg
    Wright 18 mpg
    Timmins 10 mpg
    Bey 6 mpg
    Hardy 0 mpg

    Hypothetical:

    Hardy 30 mpg (10 Nowell + 20 Crisp)
    Naz 31 mpg (21 original + 10 Nowell)
    Battle 20 mpg (10 Thybulle + 10 Nowell)
    Mcdaniels 30 (15 Thybulle + 15 Green)
Stewart 31 mpg (from 26 Dickerson and 5 Timmons)

    BENCH:
    Bey 20 mpg (6 original + 6 Thybulle + 8 Green)
    Wright 18 mpg (original)
    Timmons 5 mpg (original)

    Mins still to fill:
    5 mpg Nowell
    13 mpg Crisp

Hardy will have to basically go from not playing to playing 30 mpg every game. Naz, Stewart, and McDaniels are playing almost the entire game.

Bey and Battle are splitting heavy time at the 2-4 depending on matchups.

Wright plays major mins every game as versatile bigman off the bench.

Still leaves 18 mpg available with basically no one else that can play 1/2 guard.

Its basically a team with no PG and 3 true freshman (good ones) at the start of the season. The season could very easily be over in the preseason if things go poorly and then everyone mails it in so they dont get injured and can go play in the NBA. OR... If Hardy or Naz gets injured at the start lol.

Quade better be good when he is allowed to play or this team is headed for destination fucked.

    They just lost to TCU.

Granted it was without Jaden and Quade.

BUT, the amount of TOs indicate that PG is going to be a problem if Hardy is the only option.

Hop will have his work cut out getting these guys to gel ASAP.

Hardy couldn’t even get minutes last year. Expecting much from him seems dumb. I’ve been excited about this team, but this is bring me back to reality.

Same. I went wild with the off-season natty.

But PG is the most important position and we don’t have one (yet?)

We can still doog because Quade. If he’s good, and he will be at least solid, we’ll be really good by the end of the year.

Fultz is doing well so far. He’ll never be more than a starter on a bad team and his game doesn’t really work on a winning team, but he’s not going to be the all time bust that seemed likely. He’s still a bust and will never make an All Star team, but he’s not entirely horrible.
