Telling quote from Lake:
“I’ve been doing this for a while,” Lake said, “and I think guys want to be disciplined. They want to work hard. They don’t want to walk out of a practice feeling like they didn’t get anything done. So if it felt like an amusement park and fun and games out here and no one broke a sweat, that day might feel good, but they’re not going to feel good the next day — and they’re not going to feel good when they go 7-7 or 8-4.
What? I thought 8-4 was special? -
While reading Jude's story today and the posts in this thread, I'm reminded of the many times I read Puget Sound media fucks grind on and on ad infinitum about how Huskies were afraid of the stoic and stern ol' Dawgfather. Of course, they wanted it to sound like Don James was one mean asshole of a coach abusing UW football playing student-athletes who were suppose to be having fun and getting an education. Of course we new the truth no it, that the Dawgfather was a task master who insisted on work ethic from players and coaches and a dedication to fundamentals, discipline, and being accountable or you may not get to play. The Dawgfather's way didn't instill fear of anything but the always present possibility of riding the bench on gamedays. After working hard to prepare all week, the thought of not being a participant in a winning football program was the only horror the kids were exposed to, but how could media fucks and the band-boys at Dm.c know that? Hard work and the reward of football glory...... what a concept.

The more I read the quotes from the new staff and the players, the more powerful the indictment against Sark ball, home of the 5-4 conference records.. The Lake's comment said it all. I wonder if any USC fans read here or the Times and what they think about the change in coaching fortune. It's like a huge guillotine sitting over the Trojan program and it's about to come slicing down.

Sark tries to be Carroll, but Carroll has two NC's, another appearance and a SB win, plus he won like 90% of his $C games.... and the Seahawks sure as hell weren't soft (ask Peyton), nor were the Condoms...

Sark is like a really fucking low rent version of Carrol. It's like calling an Aries K a Hemi Cuda cause they are both technically Mopar's.
