UW "building best WR corps in nation!"

It's interesting. Getting elite WRs doesn't seem to be a problem. However, missing out on top flight OLs brings quotes like "sometimes kids just want to leave the state," or "we're just not all the way back yet." It's a simple question: If we can get elite players at one or two positions (i.e., QB and WR), why can't we get them at others (heh hem OL & interior DL)?
The link below quotes one of our new WR commits as saying that we're "building the best WR corps in the nation." Well, at least we have our priorities straight.

Yet going into year 5 we still have no clue who our #2 WR is going to be.Passion said:It's interesting. Getting elite WRs doesn't seem to be a problem.
Player development matters more than recruiting. Always has, always will. -
It is extremely odd that we do so well recruiting WR's when we are so clearly terrible at developing them. I'm cautiously optimistic that Kiesau is an upgrade at WR coach, but that's like saying Sark is an upgrade over Ty.

"It's just a tough spot to fill (lineman), probably the toughest. Few really elite players to go around on the West Coast. Many would tell you that's one of the biggest differences right now between the SEC and other conferences, that the SEC states simply seem to produce more interior linemen."
Sincerely,
Bob C.

The 3 4-star OLs and 1 3-star OL on Oregon's 2013 commit list say hey.

I love that go to line by Doogs nevermind Stanford's 2012 class had 5 stud OL and UCLA this past year just picked up a ton of stud OL. They simply can't admit that Sark can't/won't recruit quality OL and must make excuses like "It's hard to recruit OL on the west coast".TMacDawg said:"It's just a tough spot to fill (lineman), probably the toughest. For years Oregon couldn't recruit, now they can.
For years Stanford couldn't recruit, now they can.
For years Washington could recruit, now they can't.
It's a fucking unfathomable mystery that no one could ever hope to understand. Oh wait, it's coaching.

On the plus side, we're developing quarterbacks with good scrambling skills. -

And the ability to quickly throw the ball out of bounds on 3rd and 2 before they get slammed. Shane Brostek also got really good at backwards ice skating last year.tracker said:

WOW! Another post from you like this! oregon had 3 4-star OLs and 1 3-star OL on the 2013 class? That is so awesome.AZDuck said:The 3 4-star OLs and 1 3-star OL on Oregon's 2013 commit list say hey.
Please keep posting messages on here about the great things oregon (white trash u) is doing, as long as it makes you feel better about yourself and more secure. That's what we're here for.
