Pompeo took part in that call. Trump, sure. He's impulsive. He's a ready, shoot, aim guy. He often doesn't know or understand how something he might do or say will blow up on him.
Pompeo is an entirely different matter. The guy is brilliant, experienced and a full-fledged grown up.
If he was on that call, I'd guess this thing isn't as bad as a lot of people hope. Trump doesn't know better. Pompeo knows better.
