What if those mistakes cost you a game? What if they run the wrong route leading to a interception then what? Playing time isn't given, if they show in practice they can play they will get playing time but until then don't expect Junior to change the rotation.Beno4Life said:
I think it's more of the seniors/most experienced guys not playing all that well against better comp. It's not like they haven't made their fair share of mistakes. Plus, the young Dawgs need experience for next year when those dudes graduate, and the best experience is game experience, as you know. They'll make mistakes, but how else are they supposed to learn? Plus, it's starting to become schematically obvious to any opposing defensive coach that when Bynum and Puka are in on the same play, it's either a running play or screen.sonics1993 said:
- Junior and I honestly don't get the criticism of the rotation. Out of all the young guys only two were highly rated Puka who is a true freshmen who they are trying to get on the field but he doesn't know that playbook yet and Spiker who is struggling and has yet to show he belongs with the two's let alone first team. Austin was a borderline four star who is red shirt freshman and Terrell Bynum was a mid three star so of course they are having trouble beating the seniors because they don't have the system down plus they don't have talent to overcome that. They would love to expand the rotation but there aren't enough guys worthy so they are leaning on the seniors.insinceredawg said:-If the mystery recruits do end up visiting, do you think it'll be for a game or after the season?
-Before the season you predicted Taylor, Bryant, and Ahmed would leave early. Bryant still looks like an early entry, do you still feel the same about the other two? How about Eason and Molden?
-Who has final say on the WR rotation or lack thereof? Junior, Bush, or Pete?
Aside from Puka, I just wish Osborne could get some run. Dude's HS tape was borderline elite in an elite HS conference. Plus, he was making plays in spring and fall camp. -
Jordan Lolohea, has anyone got eyes on him yet? Stayed in shape, no + or - 40lb weight change, that kinda thing?
-
BYU is trying to get him but he's solid, don't know about his shape. Won't know until he gets on campus.GrundleStiltzkin said:Jordan Lolohea, has anyone got eyes on him yet? Stayed in shape, no + or - 40lb weight change, that kinda thing?

@sonics1993 if there really might be room to add LVBS as a 4th WR... Why no offers to Marcus Henderson or Levi Rogers?
-
How'd the visit go for Moliki Matavao? Coaches feeling good? Seems like he's got a lot of connections to the team with Fatanau and Tuitele.
-
I guess. I am just not a Herbert guy. I think our home field advantage will be to much for him and also Oregon's road problems. Imo he is more of a college version of Josh Allen than Sam Darnold. Their defense is on par w/ Cal and USC and we should have scored 30-35 on both those teams. I don't see Oregon scoring more than 24 against us. I can't wait.sonics1993 said:
Oregon. Doesn't help that they play on Friday while we play Saturday night. Andy Avolos has done a great job with there defense and expect him to pressure Eason a lot and expect him to man up UW WR's which I don't think they can win. On the other side expect them run and mix play action to take advantage of these linebackers and there eye discipline. It's just a bad matchup for us but we are at home, gameday will be there if we win the next two and I know this team will be ready to fight.KrunkJuice said:@sonics1993 - Who are you more concerned about more, Oregon or Utah? Oregon really doesn't concern me and we have Utah off a bye.

Is it because the coaches know of the incident or because he isn't as high on their board?sonics1993 said:

Any update on DJ Rogers?sonics1993 said:
Because we use two TE's a lot and after this year we are down to Cade, Kizer and Culp. Add in that Cade probably leaves next year, Kizer has a back injury that while he recovered from will always be a issue and Culp has been suspended twice and yet to show he can be relied upon and it's easy to see why.bananasnblondes said:Why take a 3rd TE in this class?

I'm sure @GrandpaSankey did not see that coming but that's just a guess on my part.GrundleStiltzkin said:
BD2W has a lot of negativity though and Hardcore Husky has a lot of jokes but they are both great.sonics1993 said:
1. Not sure what there numbers are when it comes to DL. I have heard 1 to 2 but my guess is yes.KrunkJuice said:@sonics1993
- Is Xavier Carlton and the mystery DL both takes if they want in?
- When the mystery LB recruit looks out his bedroom window, does he see Jurassic World being filmed?
- What is Petersen's policy on recruiting committed players? Does the player have to reach out to us for us to recruit him if he is still open?
- Who does the staff rate higher, Hachett or Memmelaar? Also is Meemelaar a G or a OT?
- How is Paopao's resume looking?
- How is the staff feeling after Gary Bryant's OV?
- Any update on LS Jacob Garcia?
- What website can you not refuse more, Hardcore Husky or BD2W?
- Rumors are Lake turned down DC opportunities at FSU, Bama and A&M. In your opinion what job is he looking for?
- Who was your favorite SuuuuuuuuppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrSonic?
- Does the USC win change your outlook for this year?
2. I don't think so but will find out
3. Once a player commits they ask him do you still want us to recruit you. If yes then they continue, if no then they tell him good luck and move on. For anyone who thinks we don't do that read Smalls story. When he eliminated we wished him luck and moved on when most programs would keep pestering him. Smalls had to call us for him to get back in the picture.
4. Don't know whose higher and they need to get Meemelaar on the field to find out
5. Nice, he's about to get his fourth TE drafted and have his sixth TE make a NFL roster. How many TE coaches you know that can say that?
6. Not good, wouldn't get your hopes up.
7. No other than they hope to get him as a preferred walk on so they can save a scholarship.
8. Both are great with passionate husky fans which I love. BD2W has a lot of negativity though and Hardcore Husky has a lot of jokes but they are both great.
9. Honestly no one knows, he interviewed for the Colorado job but then backed out. Now Colorado was going for Mel Tucker no matter what but my guess is a school that has resources and will make a financial commitment not only to him but his staff. That was deal breaker for him when he found out what the salary pool would be for his coaches.
10. Don't have one
11. Not yet but I like what I see. This five game stretch starting with USC will determine our season and since we lost to Cal we must win all five. Stanford and Arizona will pose a threat to our LB's but we should be able to score on both teams and get enough stops. Oregon and Utah will be the two games that will be difficult because they both can attack our weaknesses. Both can play press man which will kill our passing game while getting pressure on Eason with there front seven which isn't good and both can attack our LB's with run and play action. Will be interesting to see it play out.
Who saw that coming, hardy har -
Because they want a dynamic slot WR not anthor offensive guard. Our OL numbers are fine.Emoterman said:@sonics1993 if there really might be room to add LVBS as a 4th WR... Why no offers to Marcus Henderson or Levi Rogers?

They are in it but it’s going to be a dog fight with him and the SEC schools especially Georgia.Beno4Life said:How'd the visit go for Moliki Matavao? Coaches feeling good? Seems like he's got a lot of connections to the team with Fatanau and Tuitele.

But that’s the thing what they should have scored and what they do score are two different things. And when you say that for multiple games then that reflects on the offense and what they really are.KrunkJuice said:

Sonic. Thanks for the great info. I've never paid for message board information but if you had a website I'd be tempted. A question about recruiting dynamics with one particular recruit in mind. Do coaches ever come right out and ask a recruit where their school stands in the running? I'm thinking of Gary Bryant where you seem to feel Washington is running third. Would they just ask Gary what's up and would a recruit in general give them an honest answer? At what point do you start making a stronger move on Bunkley-Shelton? At what point do you move on with any recruit? Is it fairly easy for coaches to judge where they stand during an official?

I'm assuming Ringo is a must take if we manage to actually land him.sonics1993 said:

DL - Xavier Carlton (please god)
TE - Overman
WR - Bryant or LVBS
LB - ?
What about Hector?
Are we actually in the position of running out of spots in the boat for some of these guys? -
Please don't tease me about Eason, my dick can only get so hardsonics1993 said:

They don't ask that because most of the time the recruit will lie and say your up there or I don't have a favorite. They will instead ask "when are you making a decision" or "we only have blanks spots left" and see how they respond.whuggy said:Sonic. Thanks for the great info. @sonics1993 this has been asked multiple times but is Botelho not the flip LB?

He's said multiple tims he's not going to comment on the players committed elsewhere because he doesn't want to tip those programs off that they're being pursued.jhfstyle24 said:@sonics1993 this has been asked multiple times but is Botelho not the flip LB?

I know Stanford is Stanford in terms of educational rep ... But their football is really on the downswing imo.
If Hector thinks football is important he should take that spot if it's available at Washington. I get the feeling he's not a must take unless other things don't work out -

@sonics1993 do we have a greater than zero percent chance at Ngata, Flowe, Sewell, or Johnny Wilson?

Ngata recruiting Daniyel so no.Emoterman said:@sonics1993 do we have a greater than zero percent chance at Ngata, Flowe, Sewell, or Johnny Wilson?
Honestly I have no @Sources but it's pretty clearly zero with all of them. -
We dropped Ngata because hes not very good and stopped recruiting Sewell after his dad acused Petersen of ordering Myles Bryant to injure his 350 lb son. We dont need another WR (unless its Bryant, or maybe LV). Flowe < 1%Emoterman said:@sonics1993 do we have a greater than zero percent chance at Ngata, Flowe, Sewell, or Johnny Wilson?

Agreed. So the only "must take" left on our board is Ringo, maybe Carlton, in regards to the question from another thread. The guys I listed are must take, but we ain't getting them.dnc said:

And it appears we'd take Bryant no matter what.
