And I get to keep more of what we make
But Lizzie is going to show me how none of that is actually true and how jacking taxes and energy prices is really the path to prosperity while expanding the govenrment into even more of our lives until they run every last aspect of it because climate change
Sounds like a winner to me
That take is so rich, Liz will want to tax it
Now I'm back.
You concern for the middle and lower classes is noted though
I'd focus on this too since there is no argument against my accurate portrayal of her polices
Maybe if my wife makes some more money we can look down our noses too. And I can gossip at the gym -

Of course you do. She’s batshit crazy with half of her policies. Most of the #NeverTrump friends I have already have said they will vote for him over her every day of the week...they are only just now realizing she’s got a good chance to be the nominee.BearsWiin said:I like her

“I think if she can show that the tax code of 2017 was basically nonsense and only helped corporations, Wall Street would not like the public thinking about that,” this executive said, also insisting on anonymity.
Have to give her credit though...as batshit crazy as she is I think she’s right on wanting to break up the tech companies. But that won’t help her in the lead up to the election...she’s probably the only candidate Google and company won’t tilt what they can towards and against Trump. -
El oh el at breaking up the tech companies. Because your anger at their supposed liberal leadership. You want government involvement to break them up. Nice free market capitalist ideals there buddy.HoustonHusky said:

For the folks that know people in startups ask them if they are trying to be the next Google or get to be big enough to be bought by them. It’s a fucked up system when everyone is trying to come up with the next idea to be bought by a tech company instead of be the next big tech company. Govt stopped Microsoft from doing it, and we ended up with Google/Apple/Facebook/Amazon who not only arose but learned to lobby to prevent it from happening to them. It’s also why you get crazy ideas like WeWork as being the next “Tech” company...the ones getting IPOed are shit because Apple/Google/Amazon/Facebook have already bought up the good ones.2001400ex said:

I’m an Apple guy for my phone and such, but I think it’s fucked up that they are allowed to have a music streaming service when they get 30%(?) of the revenue of the same business model (Spotify/etc) to be on their platform. It’s not a level playing field and it stymies development.

I find it funny that the communist in the room (me) says to only break up companies if it's an actual monopoly. Like utilities and the old phone companies. Yet the dude who screams about free market wants to break up tech companies because one company has a cost advantage over another. That doesn't stifle development. I have been involved in a few tech startups in various capacities, working with another now, from inception to IPO attempt or buy out. I'll tell you, the goal to IPO or be bought out is a huge motivator for innovation. I don't know where you are getting your talking points from, but they are awful. Especially for a dude who screams about the free market.HoustonHusky said:

The court definition of Monopolistic Practices is anything over 50% but OK!. Which is where Amazon is at on ALL online sales. Google is way past that in most every search index. Facebook is way past that. And it’s not a free market if a few companies control it, but I guess self-ascribed Commies don’t realize that.2001400ex said:

The intent of monopoly rules is so that one company doesn't gouge consumers or end research and development, both of which kill free markets. There's nothing about Amazon or Google's business model that does either. In fact Google doesn't really even make money directly from consumers. And Amazon saves me a ton of money. Not to mention that in both cases, there's many choices for a user to find other services. Right now both companies are helping to drive prices down.HoustonHusky said:

Now, that's not to say in the future, Amazon gets too large of a share then starts to increase prices because they are the only game in town, that I wouldn't change my mind. But right now, none of the companies you mentioned are even close to needed anti trust laws to break them up. -

I’m an Apple guy for my phone and such, but I think it’s fucked up that they are allowed to have a music streaming service when they get 30%(?) of the revenue of the same business model (Spotify/etc) to be on their platform. It’s not a level playing field and it stymies development.
I know this is too long for you to read and doesn’t come with pictures, but for others out there this is what got me thinking about it and eventually helped change my mind:

Now, that's not to say in the future, Amazon gets too large of a share then starts to increase prices because they are the only game in town, that I wouldn't change my mind. But right now, none of the companies you mentioned are even close to needed anti trust laws to break them up. -

I think it's very safe for me to assume my tax burden would increase after 4 or 8 years of Warren. Talk me out of it.

I get totally confused by anyone who thinks a politician is actually going to help. Every one of them is in it for themselves and only themselves.

Also have to ignore that Bernie is honest enough to say the middle class taxes will go up
Jacking corporate taxes sends money and jobs overseas stopping the economy which also hurts the poor and middle
Denying that middle class folks like me are increasing our wealth and keeping more of it by mocking Temecula is a show of his great empathy
