How do we match up against USC's Elite + Tall receiving corp?

Hmmmm. Seems like a few things need to happen to win this game.
Get lots of pressure on the QB forcing bad throws
Make the USC WRs pay when the catch the ball causing alligator arms
Jam really well giving defense time to get to the QB - play a lot of man
I'm not optimistic about our ability to execute these things. Could be a shootout. Our small secondary could be a problem this game.

I am more concerned with LB playing in the proper passing lanes. DB room will figure it out

My #1 concern is how we get them off the field consistently.
All year when we rush 3/4 we can't get pressure.
We are bringing extra lb's or Bryant via blitzes 50% of passing plays and get home with it I would guess 20% of the time. Doing that against SC and their 4/5 wr's in that vacated space is going to lead to huge gains.
Do we have anyone who can cover Pittman and St. Brown?
If we get the BYU/Fresno St/1st quarter Stanford SC team none of this matters, If we get the USC that played Friday night vs. Utah then we have a problem.

Your offense is too dreck to get in a legit shootout with most PAC 12 teams. You'll have to rely on that second class defense to eke out a win.
