Is the Trump Administration blocking the science on a renewable-powered future?

The Trump Administration has also attempted to suppress information on the Climate Crisis, including removing the page on climate science from the EPA website and removal of references to climate change on other parts of the EPA website and documents.
However, the Trump Administration now appears to have taken this another step further, and removed a study showing that the United States can get the large majority of its electricity from renewable energy from the website of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

It can’t. California is pretty much at to past the limit of what you can do with renewables without causing big grid problems in peak demand times.
Without finding better energy storage technology that’s not going to change basic supply/demand fundamentals. -
That study was put together by shills who just want grant money.

Not just mine...lots of folks. Same issue in Germany.

Yeah. Trump is why renewable energy is a failure

Newsflash: The American government in general, irregardless of which party is in control of what is essentially a one party system (run by the un-elected and unaccountable 4th branch of government, the CIA), is not interested in a renewable powered future. The politicians that service the corrupt system will never be able to wean themselves off the bribes they receive from the oil and other industries, all of which have a vested interest in blocking and suppressing science that threatens their cash cow.

One of the problems with renewables (solar and wind) is when the demand is vs when the supply is. In Cali they call it the duck curve...it’s a bit different depending on where you are. Peak demand is at the end of the work day when everyone comes home and turns on everything...about the same time solar drops producing significantly and wind is dying down. Which means you still need traditional supply.
MIT has a good write up a while back on basically the same thing with Germany (it’s still a bit optimistic)...google it if you are really interested.
Texas has gone big on wind, but our grid also almost broke this summer when we had a week of high temps and little wind. -
You are upset about Trump but not about the dem nude green eel? When you bring some game to the debate let me know. End the huge government subsidies for wind and solar and state renewable standards then will see what science and Econ 101 can accomplish. If you don't support nukes and US LNG shipments to Europe and Asia then you aren't serious about reducing CO2 emissions or science.

A lot of renewable subsidies are tax breaks which I thought were not subsidies per someone on the bored.WestlinnDuck said:You are upset about Trump but not about the dem nude green eel? Well those unnamed and unknown someones are wrong. Across the board tax breaks, like depreciation which lets you deduct your own spent money is not a subsidy. Giving you government tax credits for money you didn't spend is a subsidy. You leftards sure seem to have strong feelings about subjects you know little about. Nonetheless, go get your hug and a ribbon.

All the money belongs to the government
We're lucky they let us keep any at all -
They really don't even try anymore. Look at the NY Times. They lied about the Russian collusion and they just lied about Kavanaugh. Why the NY Times would want to lie in bed with semi-functional Tug leftards is beyond me. I have higher aspirations that swallowing.
