But I can relate to a lot of what John Mulaney is saying. I went to Christmas services a few years back with the family and the ELCA “updated” the hymnal. I was super pissed because I was so used to robotically repeating the same lines from my childhood I had to actually pay attention.
The youth pastor got in hot water for telling the teens they had to be born again. Quite controversial
But heaven help you if you dared misbehaved at the annual pancake feed that came right before Ash Wednesday!
