I don't get on here enough to mention how much I enjoy all of you.

My sponsor says I need to be more thankful to those who bring good to my life. Something about a 5th step, but I wasn't really paying attention after a minute. He's kind of a prick.

    A faulty generalization is a conclusion about all or many instances of a phenomenon that has been reached on the basis of just one or just a few instances of that phenomenon.     Expressed in more precise philosophical language, the Singular Data Point Fallacy is a conclusion that has been made on the basis of weak premises. Unlike fallacies of relevance, the premises are related to the conclusions yet only weakly buttress the conclusions. A faulty generalization is thus produced. This inductive fallacy is any of several errors of inductive inference and is often taught at Freshman Philosophy 101 or Intro to Business courses.
