My industry, like many others in manufacturing has had a resurgence due to tariffs on cheap Chinese products. None of that is even touched on in your cherry picking article that is attempting to make Trump look bad. The trade deficit is temporary as we are in the middle of a chess match with the Chinese. Are you that naive to think that the Chinese devils would just sit there like idiots and not try to hard ball us?

You argue here and have done many time before that a trade deficit is inherently a negative. In that case then the Trump tariffs which take the form of the largest middle class tax increase in multiple generations which actually make the trade deficit worse they must likewise be an inherent negative. It’s almost like a trade deficit isn’t an inherent negative....but hey Atl is all in on the largest middle class tax increase in generations because he’s selling more labels. He has no real legislative authority to wage a trade war -- he's perverting the tariff laws on the book to suit his needs to claim his throne as dictator of the United States. We are at full employment because we have had the longest economic expansion in the history of our country of which Trump has been president for about a quarter of. A trade deficit isn't a good thing or a bad thing. You can have the best trade terms possible and a booming economy and have a trade deficit or have shit terms and a shit economy and run a trade surplus.
