I just don't understand why some black folks have more negative encounters with the Police

And some black people are absolutely mistreated by police for no reason. If you had any REAL black frens and spent any tim with them and got pulled over with them you would know this to be true.

As with most things, the black disrespect/police brutality towards blacks issue is not either/or, it's both/and.

    Abundance always wins.

Yeah, if only I had black friends or spent anytime with black people then I'd understand.

People of all races are mistreated by the police. Somehow I don't think that situation is improved by okaying blatant disrespect for the police. Quick, tell me the name of that guy?

Yes white people can be mistreated by police too.

Black people are mistreated by police at a higher frequency.
The people who come in contact with the police more frequently are more likely to be mistreated by the police. Because of the high crime rates by blacks they are far more likely to come into contact with the police and therefore more likely to come into contact with a bad cop who will mistreat them.
And this is my problem with the right on this issue. The alleged party of personal responsibility will take none when it comes to police misconduct. Cops mistreated you? Blame it on other black people.

If the police actually faced real punishment for real misconduct I'd be much quicker to defend them. But they don't, and the right in general pretends there is always a defense for anything they do wrong.

    It's infuriating.

This is true. But what isn't true is that cops practice open season hunting against black men.

Yet, if you watch CNN or MSNBC, that's essentially what they argue.
And if you watch Fox News cops are virtuous and innocent and anyone who gets injured or worse by a cop had it coming.

    Like I said, it's both/and, not either/or.
That's complete bullshit and a sure sign you really don't have a fact based argument.
    Wrong
You're full of shit. Hannity is undoubtedly the most pro-cop opinion guy on Fox.

Fox News host Sean Hannity is a vocal defender of police, as he demonstrated when he stood by the officer who killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. But he drew the line Thursday, arguing in a testy exchange on his show that there's no justification for the grisly shooting of Walter Scott.

"You do not shoot an innocent man in the back eight times in cold blood like this," Hannity said.

The Scott shooting has drawn national attention following the release of a video recording that allegedly shows North Charleston, South Carolina, police officer Michael Slager shooting Scott eight times as the unarmed black 50-year-old was fleeing from the officer. Slager has been fired from the police department and charged with murder.

The unfortunate reality, I think, is that cops & black communities are nowhere near where they need to be to dramatically improve policing and community relations they desperately need. I think it's true in a lot of professions right now, such as in teaching, where the belief that black teachers are automatically better than whites in teaching black kids has gained a lot of ground without much evidence to support that theory. Do black kids like seeing black role model teachers? Sure. But are they actually learning more? A lot of evidence says, no. And by the time we know for sure, it's too late to fix. Point: Both sides need to be honest and empirical. But today, being popular is more important than being right. Does not bode well for the near future, I think.

What the fuck are you talking about? Where did I say that misbehaving cops shouldn't be held responsible? I didn't blame it on black people I just provided you with an explanation why blacks are more likely to come into contact with bad cops.

You're pulling claims squarely out of your ass.

Good to know he draws the line at an unmistakable murder versus just a probable murder under murky circumstances. A real moral compass on that guy.

    Just refuting this line of bullshit HC;

I wasn't drawing any line. And the circumstances around the shooting of Mike Brown were hardly "murky."
