Members of Congress generally make $174,000 per year, with senior leaders earning more, and no cost-of-living adjustments have been made in the past nine years.

174k isn't very much for a base wage in DC. I would like to see some tax returns on a few of these guys and see what they really make.

Congressmen are scoundrels whose pay should be tacked to the median wage in the lowest median wage state. Most of the time they are in recess doing nothing, and when they're working, their contribution to the country is even more negative. These people produce nothing of any real value, and continuously steal from the people. Taxation without true representation. About half of them are guilty of treason and would be guillotined if they were serving in old France.
