Favorite musical?

(ok homo)
Not gonna lie dudes I love Sweeney Todd and think it's the best Depp performance. Rickman too.

The music/cinemetography/atmosphere in that movie is incredible. When Tim Burton is good, he's amazing. When he's bad, he's trash.

Alan Rickman (RIP, you legend):

What exact categories do the movies like Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Saturday Night Fever, and Blues Brothers fall into? not musicals but music is one of the themes of the movie?
I am no good at this
Wizard of Oz is one of my favorites Thanks @BennyBeaver -

Those have good soundtracks. it would be like calling The Wedding Singer a musical. It's a comedy.LebamDawg said:What exact categories do the movies like Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Saturday Night Fever, and Blues Brothers fall into? not musicals but music is one of the themes of the movie?

I didn’t say BB wasn’t a musical. But your first clip (taken by itself) doesn’t seem to support your argument.GrundleStiltzkin said:

Not a big musical guy, but I’m big on movies with music-centric plots. Especially non-biopic ones:
- Whiplash
- School of Rock
- 8 Mile
Best biopic is Walk the Line -
Back in the day the Buddy Holley Story was a great biopic
Has held up about as well as Gary Bussey -
Cat Ballou
