BTE: Athletic Mismatch TE

Prominent BTE: Hunter, Jeremy Stevens, THE LATE GREAT ROD JONES (RIP POUR SOME OUT), ASJ, Travis Kelce
“Because parents read these” you can be both. Mark REDMAN is 100% hands down without a doubt a BTE, but he has an amazing nasty edge that he blocks with much like Gronk (no whoosh) giving him a WTE card while still being a BTE. Mark Redman is a 6’6 Dev Culp.
Sample had some BTE in him that was wasted by Jake and Jake only (don’t you dare come after MY BUSH) but he is the definition of a WTE. Hunter is the definition of a BTE. Otton’s film shows he’s more BTE than he is WTE until he physically matures. By his Junior year he’ll be the best WTE in the country

Ruth sure doesn't like criticism of POWPOW

I love how she is implying that the Alabama offer for Patterson was legit and he turned that down for Air Force

So, the only guy on a one year "show me something" contract is supposed to be left alone?dhdawg said:Ruth sure doesn't like criticism of POWPOW

Good that recruiting is inherently crazy so it helps the buzz if Ruth is crazy herself. No one wants boring recruitingdhdawg said:

So according to Roof we are going to try and take a 3rd TE after West. Looking just at uncommitted TE's at 247 you have:
#10/670 - Connor O'Toole from New Mexico (90 ranking according to 247) Listed at 6'3 - 210.
#29/NA - Alex Hines from Arizona (4 CB's to Utah)
#53/NA - Jake Overman from Anaheim (Trending heavy to Babushka St.)
#67/NA- Sterling Stokes form Oakland (Bishop O'Dowd) 82 ranking
#71/NA - Michael Ambagtsheer from San Diego
Every uncommitted TE is in Texas or East of it. It is slim pickens. This is not going to end well. -
I'd rather put that walk on tight end on scholarshipKrunkJuice said:So according to Roof we are going to try and take a 3rd TE after West. Looking just at uncommitted TE's at 247 you have:

Paopao gets an obvious zero for last year's class, but getting Redman is a minimum 6. Add one of Taylor or Yurosek and it's an 8. Get all three and that's a fucking 10.Fear_Boner said:This thread has AIDS. Fuck off, wiggle arguers. Paopao is a fine coach, but on a scale of 1-10 as a recruiter he’s a fucking ZERO. Fire his fucking ass. We already have too many coaches who can’t recruit.

Lol stop with the Drew Sample comparisons. Sample was way more athletic in high school. He was faster and a better receiver than this kid. This is a fucking reach until proven otherwise. Just tell it like it is.

They're ranked roughly the same and, like Sample, West had to attend Pete's June camp in order to earn an offer (and that was Pete's camp at Boise, who knows if Sample would have gotten a UW offer as quickly).StrongArmCobra said:Lol stop with the Drew Sample comparisons. They're very close to the same size and build too.
It's a pretty natural comp. -
LMAO STOOOOOOOOP IT!!! I can't take it anymore. Doog overload. Just watch Sample's high school film. It's night and day between the two. This is the slowest TE we've taken since Kizer and he's not even a nasty blocker. Fuck off with this doog shit. The only comparisons you can make are they're both white and around the same size in high school and have similar 3-star rankings as recruits. Natural comp my ass. You could say the same shit about most of the TE recruits in the country.dnc said:

One thing is certain, West is much closer to Drew Sample 2.0 than Trey Lowe is to Barry Sanders 2.0. -
This kid might be good. But we should be past the point of taking commits like this
-
No he's really not. Trey Lowe's high school film is better than Barry Sanders' high school film. Lowe was incredibly elusive. Lowe ran circles around guys. But I never even said Lowe was going to be the next Sanders. It was an obvious comparison with both being small and incredibly elusive running backs. It's not like Sanders was way faster or more physically gifted than Lowe. He wasn't. Both are super quick with stupid cutting ability and vision. That's the easiest and most obvious comparison for Lowe as a RB coming out of high school.dnc said:

It's fucking hilarious how you talk a big game about wanting elite talent and settling for JAGs being unacceptable but as soon as it actual happens and a likely JAG commits you transform into super doog. He's not close to Drew Sample at all. He's closer to Kizer than Sample. -
