Pete's first scandal.

It didn't take long for our new head coach to be faced with the customary off-season UW football scandal. There's blood in the water and Puget Sound area piranha breaths led by the always alert Seattle Times investigative reporters will be cruising Montlake, the U-District, and SPD blotter in search for any amount of Husky flesh they can exploit for selling print, cyberspace, and airwaves.

If his disciplinary methods at BSU are an indication of what CP might do about the suspensions, he likely won't wait for law enforcement to conclude their investigations before at least looking into the conduct of the two Huskies involved. CP won't just be looking at what happened Sunday following the Super Bowl, but also he'll want to know what both have been up to away from or outside the football program since coming to UW as student-athletes.

Whether or not Miles or Stringfellow or both are charged with any crimes, CP will be ready to act decisively and soon on the suspensions and he probably will not inform the public about any of it, unless or until the suspensions are made permanent. If the suspensions remain temporary, I'd be surprised if both aren't lifted at least by the time Spring practices start. If these kids are not fully participating in the program by March or sooner, their futures as Huskies may be in jeopardy.

I think we all know that Miles and Stringfellow are important to the future of Husky offense, especially Miles, and a lot is expected from them right away as the new staff prepares for the 2014 season. Based on his disciplinary methods at BSU, the future importance to the program will carry no weight with CP in their favor if the worst has happen and these kids are thugs. Their experience and potential as starters on the Husky offense will not help them if they've been fucking up as students and citizens. If, however, they are good kids generally and the thing on Sunday was an isolated or confused incident as such things can be, CP will go the distance in supporting them as members of the team.

Absolutely. And this time, we need to support our football program by recognizing that shit happens when a big time football program has 85 scholarship student-athletes attending a major university located in a great city and living away from home for the first time in their lives. College students will be college students and football players are the stuff that fascinating scandal-mongering is made of. If classless Oregon with their average academics can put up with it, so can we for the sake of what's really important. Bow Down.

Stringfellow needs to come out of this with at worst only being suspended for the garbage games. He's really fucking important. Was someone else on the team involved? Troy Williams is gonna be good for us this year.

Is it for real? Because the whole story just didn't make sense.

Is it still considered a scandal if no charges are filed?

I know a guy who could pick apart that police report all day long

These sort of things rarely do make sense at this point. Remember, it's The Seattle Times reporting from a police blotter..... about one rung up the journalistic ladder of species from Fox News or the Cartoons.

This is what I'm talking about. How do you have any fucking clue if Williams is going to good? Is it because the lemon party trio at doogman told you? Miles and Lindquist were highly ranked as well.

I'm hearing a this is a wake up call for Stringfellow. Next time he'll be gone. There won't be a warning.

Yeah. That is bullshit behavior... and they both sound like pussies... two on one, and they ran away when neighbors came out to help their victim. Too bad... string was a talented receiver.
