Longterm NFL $$ value vs taking the bag. These kids need better influencers. Sad to see. And Oregon lmao ok.
-
It’s either Georgia or Texas
Whatever -
It's not Bama unless they turn something around quickly. Right now it's Texas or UGA but there's plenty of time for Bama, tOSU or Clemson to emerge.TommySQC said:Bama or UGA
My guess is UGA. -

And for real. Georgia? GTFO. We've had more CBs drafted in the first two rounds of the draft in the past 3 years than Georgia has had drafted in ANY round of the draft in the last FIFTY years.
Georgia has had fucking TWO cornerbacks drafted in the past 50 years. How is that even fucking possible?
Not to mention that Kirby Smart is a fucking idiot that will never top Bama while Saban is around. First, he picked the less talented QB in Fromm. Second, he makes dumb decisions like the fake punt vs. Bama last year to cost his team a CFP berth. FTG, too. -
This is a sack of money and a sack of rocks type of decisionRealRhino said:And for real. Georgia? GTFO. We've had more CBs drafted in the first two rounds of the draft in the past 3 years than Georgia has had drafted in ANY round of the draft in the last FIFTY years.

Uhh
Uhh they’ve had 12 CBs drafted since my man Champ Bailey in ‘99.RealRhino said:And for real. Georgia? GTFO. We've had more CBs drafted in the first two rounds of the draft in the past 3 years than Georgia has had drafted in ANY round of the draft in the last FIFTY years.

This is a bitchy emotional response. Georgia is a legit program. They just happen to be in the same conference as bama. They develop both offensive and defensive players. It’s actually a great choiceRealRhino said:And for real. Georgia? GTFO. If you’re an alpha and looking to get paid. They had a corner drafted before Murphy last year for recent history. This all about a mom taking over and running point making sure they get paid. But carry on with your rant. -
Not my best effort, apparently. Pro Football Reference let me down. Should have known something was up, but check the time stamp. 1:00 a.m. and I was pretty far gone.
I stand by my opinion, though. Choosing Georgia would be like saying it's okay to be somebody's bitch. -

He (and mom) want the flash ... UW ain’t that
At this point, whatever -

Ringo appears to be a smart kid, he knows what's up. It breaks down something like this:
- he understands successful environments. He plays with FSP, trains with FSP even from a longish distance. He has Tracy Ford in his ear ... he understands this at UW while Jimmy Lake is still here.
- he knows he can succeed and perhaps be developed (far) better at UW than programs like the "bluebloods" or places like Texas and Oregon ...
- many of his friends and contemporaries are seriously considering or probably going to UW ...
- he knows that UW is almost there in it's trajectory. Almost. Being a top 10 prospect and with all the competitive and ego trappings that come with it - almost there may not be enough for a guy like him. He may want the validation that an Alabama, Clemson etc can offer. This should not surprise anyone.
- the bags ... this (from what we appears to understand) that UW does not compete at the same bagman level (for better or worse) than other schools. This probably shouldn't surprise many people. It's no surprise that mom is acutely aware of this and has made moves based on this.
- if UW was 3-4 years further down the progress curve and really has had sustained highest-end success against the Alabamas and Clemsons then I can see Ringo choosing UW ... but we're not just there yet.
In the end, a confident and competitive Ringo (and mom) will probably settle for taking the up front bag and also figure that the long-game bag and NFL millions will also be there (barring injury etc). Contrast that with less "bag" from UW but probably better long-game securement and it's a current choice for Ringo for the former.
It is what it is.

Petersen doesn't pay kids. There's a huge difference between scholarship money and a bag of cash. A recruit the caliber of Ringo can easily get 100K cash money as well as monthly payments during his college career.Tequilla said:

We don't compete at the bag level at all. They don't pay kids at all. Not a single one. There is no "less bag" being offered. They offer a scholarship and NFL development, that's it. That puts us completely out of the running for some kids.animate said:

She’s probably pissed at kelee for the stretch marks and that’s why she’s leading the bag man deals.
Shits not cheap to fix... I know, well, I’ve priced it I mean. -

Lmao could imagine having your fucking mom out there putting pictures like this up? Good lord if that isn't motivation to be in good enough shape to beat someone senseless I don't know what isQuietcowskee said: -

Angulo finally put in his CB for Georgia.
We knew it was coming but it doesn’t hurt any less. This year for DBs is weird. All Lake has done is put DBs in the NFL in the high rounds, and they were lowly regarded recruits.
Just felt like this was the year Ringo and Ransom would be lined up to become 1st rounders.
Never going to make sense to me especially with Ringo balling out with FSP. The only thing I can think of is that all the top west coast guys are going east.
DJ, Ringo, Ricks, Phillips, Milton, Robinson, Ngata, Baker, Scott Jr, Ransom, and likely Smalls.

Not a big fan of Ransom. 4.5 shuttle is concerning...
Ringo lollllll. UGA has a blank check waiting just for mama.
