Go to the Rendezvous for ribs in Memphis. I don’t care what @dnc says.

Central and Corkys and Memphis BBQ co have better ribs. Rendezvous has a better atmosphere and experience. Just depends what you’re looking for.

The National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Hotel is really powerful and informative if you have time for it.

Beale Street on Saturday night should be popping.

Gus’ Fried Chicken downtown if you’re not in the mood for BBQ.

The Redbirds have a great stadium and experience if you like minor league beisbol.

    Other Memphis stuff

    The zoo is really good
The botanical gardens are very cool
The bass pro shop at the pyramid is actually a surprisingly worthwhile trip. Take the elevator to the top.
The duck march at the Peabody Hotel is campy as hell but still enjoyable.

    Nashville:

Have to go to Broadway and Tootsie’s it’s the legendary music place

You have to get some Nashville Hot Chicken ... plenty of websites can point you in the right direction

The Opry is the Opry but it’s not at the Ryman right now and that’s just a different environment ... but Bo Duke is playing there tomorrow so there’s that

Pancake Pantry is great too if you're by the beisbol national champs' campus. Just be prepared to wait awhile.

Hokie as it may sound -really enjoyed Graceland in Memphis. John Stamos provides the voice for the tour which makes it all the more schlocky but awesome.

    Sun Records is pretty cool.

Beale Street is amazing. Food is goddamned delicious.

Civil Rights Museum is a must-see, fo' sho'. Carve out at least a couple hours for that.

Graceland is terrific. Cheesy Americana but still worth it.

Fun fact about Graceland, no one hear calls it Graceland. Locals all call it “Elvis’s house” or just “Elvis’s”.

    “Got some family in town”
“You gonna take em to Elvis’s house?’”

“How’s the construction business treating you?”
“Pretty good, we just got a big renovation contract at Elvis’s’”

Hattie Bs in Nashville has amazing hot chicken, order it in or be prepared to wait an hour in line for a sandwich.

Broadway is the place, I'm not a local so I'm guessing they would say it's a tourist trap, but it's quite the spectacle at night all lit up.

Roof top bars everywhere, every place has live music featuring an act better than the best your town has to offer. Tons of bachelorette parties walking around with dildo necklaces waiting to get plugged, don't wander too far it can get seedy off the main blocks.

If you're there for one night it's where you have to go.

Fuck yeah!! Did you get the nibbles with seasoning all over them? Did you order “beer” off the bar menu? It’s Michelob as I recall.

Budweiser at the bar presently. Ended up with ribs and pork shoulder. I need to go back.
