            Well, maybe not just in.

Local sports ralk meatball Big Al named Trent Dilfer and Russell Wilson as the only "game managers" to win the SB In the last 15 years.
"These are the only recent SB winners that won't be future HOF'ers. They depended on their defense for their rings."

He's right you know, Brad Johnson's HOF bust has already been commissioned, they're just waiting for a special reason to bring it out.MisterEm said:Local sports ralk meatball Big Al named Trent Dilfer and Russell Wilson as the only "game managers" to win the SB In the last 15 years.

Here's how Wilson stacks up against the QB's who have won in the past 15 years:
Russell Wilson > Trent Dilfer
Russell Wilson > Brad Johnson
Russell Wilson > Eli Manning
Russell Wilson > Joe Flacco
Russell Wilson = Ben Roethlisberger so far
Russell Wilson < Tom Brady
Russell Wilson < Peyton Manning
Russell Wilson < Drew Brees
Russell Wilson < Aaron Rodgers
So out of 10 QB's who have won in that time the Wilson's clearly better than 4, clearly worse than 4 and basically neck and neck with Rapelisberger at the same point in his career. Obviously if Wilson were to retire today his overall career would be behind Big Ben and Eli, at least, but you could say that about any second year QB winning the title. Come to think of it, weren't people bashing Tom Brady as "just a game manager" after his first ring?

Only three QBs have 100 QB ratings over the last two years...
Manning
Rogers
Wilson
And Wilson added 1000 + yards rushing. -

I'd say Russell Wilson is > than Big Ben at this point. Ben played like complete shit in his first superbowl against Seattle, who's defense was probably as mediocre as Denver's.dnc said:

Who cares what they call Wilson? Who cares if it's true?
As long as there are more rings, it doesn't matter. I'd rather have a so-so QB and a championship Team. -
Looks like she was enjoying a nice glass of wine.

I live with these pathetic Midwest Bronco fans. When they say stupid shit - they deserve to be called out.
I kept my mouth shut during the two week media frenzy slowly loading my revolver.
It is now time to fire said loaded six shooter.....

Yes but in Roethlisberger's defense, the second super bowl against Arizona, Roethlisberger capped off one of the most clutch drives in Super Bowl history, with one of the greatest touchdown passes in Super Bowl history.SteveInShelton said:

OTOH, Ben was like two years younger than Wilson when he won his first SB, and he validated it with the second ring when he played very well. I think Wilson's better than Big Ben but there's plenty of people who'd probably disagree with that statement. I think placing them as roughly equal at this point is fair, since it's debatable. Wilson's clearly better than the first four and clearly not as good as the last four (yet?), Ben's the one that could go either way.

comparing wilson to dilfer is laughable, some with johnson.
Dilfer and Johnson were both washouts everyone knew sucked who happened to land in the right situation and managed the game.
There's a difference between a game manager and a QB who is asked to play conservatively, tom brady and ben roethlisberger were both asked to play conservatively their first few years, when they had to throw more they did, and have both had successful careers, anyone who draws that comparison needs to grow a brain -
What do Abe Lincoln and Peyton Manning have in common?
Neither one could finish a play...
Too soon? For Abe? -
