Recruiting guru for sho that Eklund.

The dawgman podcast is legit one of my favorite pods, if you don't listen you're missing out on some great entertainment.KrunkJuice said:In the latest podcast previewing this weekend, recruiting guru Scott Eklund says he expects Hector to make a decision very soon. He also predicts "at least 6 guys" from this weekend that "could" be Dawgs by the end of June. This is not counting Hatchett or Hector.
I think Eklund said something today like 'Baylor has fallen on hard times lately'. There are at least 2-3 gems every episode -
LOL yep. Fetters opened up the podcast saying "Petersen can't be happy about this development at all" when talking about the official visits this weekend. The podcast rolls over to their premium ones so I listened to Eklunds Oakland Opening recap and one gem he said was Ethan Garbers play reminds him of Cody Pickett in terms of "height and stature" and "throwing motion".Neighbor2972 said:

You can always hear the disdain Fatters and Ektard have for Griswold.Neighbor2972 said:

Also Kim always makes an unfunny joke that no one laughs at but himself, then says “ aaaaanyway”.
It’s insufferable. -
I’d rather jam glass shards into my ears.

I always thought radio was easy until I caught them on KJR. How hard can it be to shoot the shit for three hours?DoogCourics said:

Apparently, very difficult. Those three have absolutely no chemistry, and the dead air between them after every half-joke they cracked seemed to last several red lights. But when you're competing for airtime with UFO stories from George Noory, the standards just aren't that high. -
Regardless of subject area, producing content is hard ... there has to be a solid mix of expertise with humor to break it up

Eh whatever

If USC actually produced I’d be more worried as far as Hector is concerned. But it ain’t a shoo-in.backthepack said:Eh whatever

His recruitment has been so quiet we might be looking at a Dec decision.FKA_Mousecop said:

per Ruth he's visiting this weekend unofficially

His parents are both USC alums and were athletes there. Not a lock by any means.

Kaden Dudley's post-trip interview:
"The barbecue was great," Dudley noted. "All of the top recruits were there. I got to talk to the receiving coach and interact with all the coaches. They really made my family and I feel comfortable. We sat with Ayden Hector and his family. His dad and my dad were able to talk and he had great things to say about Washington." -
sounds like we might end up in Hector's Top 12.

I still feel good about Hector. If Jimmy Lake makes it past the summer with someone he doesn't lose

So this likely going into the fall then?

It has a Kyler Gordon type feel to it. Probably a battle that'll last right up until signing dayFKA_Mousecop said:So this likely going into the fall then?

I definitely feel it's even quieter than Gordon's but I agree nonetheless. I'm more confident at this time of the year than I was with Gordon I think. It just seems like it is UW vs USC and I can't see a DB making that choice.dhdawg said:

As far as his communication with the Husky coaching staff, Hector has been in regular contact with Jimmy Lake and Will Harris with both coaches continuing to build on top of what is already a strong relationship.
"I was there for their camp and then we did the barbecue as well," Hector said. "It was a great time getting to meet with the coaches and spend time around the other recruits that were there. We all had a great time."
As a junior last season for Eastside Catholic, Hector wound up with 45 tackles, three tackles-for-loss, two sacks and three interceptions to go along with eight pass breakups.
"It's hard to believe it's almost over," Hector said when asked about his senior seasons getting ready to get started. "We've all worked so hard together and fought together so we're focused on making this our best season."
Hector said he's planning to make a his commitment during the season.
