Rolling Stones - Stinky Fingers
Cuz I've got a steel trap memory. It's from one of those douchey bro, car racing movies.Swaye said:How do you know that song isn't where I got my handle from?

Rolling Stones - Stinky FingersMy power rankings of this round....
1- Sticky Fingers
2- Pet Sounds
3- Nashville Skyline
4- Wish You Were Here
I love the top end songs of Pet Sounds so much and it was probably more influential than any record on this list. But Sticky Finger is epic from front to the back and has 2 of my top 10 songs of all time- i.e., Dead Flowers and Can't You Hear Me Knocking.
Made the decision to count MMT as a Beatle's album even though it was really just an EP in the UK + stray singles from 1967. It was a proper LP in the US and was all new material for that year.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were HereSo, so you think you can tell
Heaven from hell
Blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
Did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over the same old ground
And how we found
The same old fears
Wish you were here

Talkin' to some rich folk that you know
Well I hope you won't see me in my ragged company
Well, you know I could never be alone
Take me down little Susie, take me down
I know you think you're the queen of the underground
And you can send me dead flowers every morning
Send me dead flowers by the mail
Send me dead flowers to my wedding
And I won't forget to put roses on your grave
Well when you're sitting back in your rose pink Cadillac
Making bets on Kentucky Derby Day
Ah, I'll be in my basement room with a needle and a spoon
And another girl to take my pain away
Take me down little Susie, take me down
I know you think you're the queen of the underground
And you…

Beatles - Magical Mystery TourBetween wish you were here, pet sounds, and magical mystery tour. I guess you know what you're doing if you make it to this many albums.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were HereTough between Pet Sounds and Floyd. PS is more influential, but WYWH is my sentimental favorite Floyd album

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were HerePink Floyd is cleaning up in the late rounds. That’ll stop at The Final Cut.
-
Rolling Stones - Stinky Fingers
Funny enough, they didn’t even make it to the elite 8 in the Battle or the Bands. The Who and LZ did in that portion of the bracket.USMChawk said:Pink Floyd is cleaning up in the late rounds. That’ll stop at The Final Cut.

I get flustered every time I try to rank Stones songs. I just can't. Best I can do on this album would be to put "Bitch" toward the bottom, even though it's a great song. Moonlight Mile, in my opinion is a greatly underrated track. It just flows right through you. The two you mentioned are off the charts of course. Christ, when it comes to this band, you just don't need anything else. Let me be with my Stones albums and the world can just go fuck off.YellowSnow said:My power rankings of this round....
