Bob, the racist, comments.
There's an actual point to be made about this current administration emboldening a segment of extremists, e.g. white supremacists, into being a lot more open with their shittiness than they previously were. But de Blasio completely undermines that argument and shows his partisan bullshit by using this incident to try to paint anti-semitism as an exclusively white supremacist issue. The anti-semitism of some in the Muslim community is just as big of a problem, but not many people on the left want to acknowledge that.

Rat party has been kissing anti-Semitic ass for 30 years now and Trump has emboldened segments of anti-Semitic extremists? Sharpton, Farrakan, and Keith Ellison and Cynthia McKinney aren't Republicans and unlike Obama Trump never spent 20 years in an anti-Semitic Church nor does he count any anti-Semites as close personal friends and advisers. The anti-Semitism in NYC isn't being carried out by Conservatives. I'd say the left are the ones who have emboldened the anti-Semites.

I'd say the left are the ones who have emboldened the anti-Semites. Yes, I acknowledged that. The far left has a long history of anti-semitism that it's mostly unwilling to address. That doesn't take away from the point that bigoted extremism from the far right is also having a field day. I don't know why so many people view these things as mutually exclusive.

Because your claim was that current Administration has some how emboldened the anti-Semites which is crap. Call me when Trump elevates an anti-Semitic piece of crap like Sharpton to one of his most trusted advisers. Yes there bigoted extremist on both sides but there is nothing comparable in the GOP to what the Rats have been doing playing footsie with anti-Semites like Sharpton and Farrakhan.

I saw it a million times with Obama, Clinton and Reagan. This administration isn't actively emboldening the right extremists, but you have to realize that every time they even try to reject any right-wing nutjob, group or extremist, the anti-Trump media goes "See, see, see! We told you Trump was a Nazi! He just proved it!" No matter what he says or does, they'll use it against Trump. Google the "fine people on both sides hoax" and you'll find all the proof you need that Trump never equated Nazis with Antifa, never made fun of a disabled reporter, and never did half the shit he's been accused of.

I agree that he's not intentionally emboldening anybody, and there's no doubt that Trump shouldn't be held responsible for someone like David Duke trying to tie his shitwagon to him. But that doesn't change my view that a lot of what he says (and especially with what he explicitly doesn't say) and how he behaves has inadvertently emboldened far right extremists nonetheless.
GRG's point is taken. But I think Trump's in a no-win situation with the far right nut jobs. If he busts their balls, they'll probably rally like they did in Charlottesville and the media will call them "Trump supporters" even if he's kicking them in the teeth. I really do think the US press and MSM have become that twisted, biased and just plain bad. They seem to love rumors and hate facts.

The media currently has a very strong incentive to cover any Neo-Nazi rally in an attempt to link it to Trump and blame him for it. Klan rallies aren't a new thing.
