DE BLASIO CLAIMS ANTI-SEMITISM IS JUST A ‘RIGHT-WING MOVEMENT’
After a group of Hasidic Jews were attacked in Crown Heights, Brooklyn earlier this year, de Blasio blamed white supremacy, despite the fact that the alleged attackers were identified as black.
“It’s really clear that forces of white supremacy have been unleashed,” de Blasio said. “A lot of folks used to be told it was unacceptable to be anti-Semitic, it was unacceptable to be racist and now they’re getting more permission.”

There's an actual point to be made about this current administration emboldening a segment of extremists, e.g. white supremacists, into being a lot more open with their shittiness than they previously were.
But de Blasio completely undermines that argument and shows his partisan bullshit by using this incident to try to paint anti-semitism as an exclusively white supremacist issue. The anti-semitism of some in the Muslim community is just as big of a problem, but not many people on the left want to acknowledge that. -
