What resistance setting are you guys using for these 10K tests? I've been making pretty big improvements, but I still get the impression that I could row every day for five years and still not make it to 10K without dying. I've plateued at between 3600 and 4K, depending on the day, at about a 2:03 clip. Then I cry for a half hour.

    8
    Nyet!!
I row at 8 whether it's 2k, 10k, half marathon, or full marathon. Just feels comfortablest. It's been decades since I've been in a reel boat, so mimicking the feel is lost on me
Do you use the same machine all the time?
Each machine could be different due to wear and tear so it automatically calculates the drag factor which is the true measure of resistance. You can find it in the settings.

Google concept 2 drag factor if you want to think and care.
Yes, my own model D. Before that, my own model C. Thanks?
Cool. My point was that your 8 setting could represent 6 (or 10) on another machine.

Either way it won't be interesting.
Never in my wildest dreams upon joining HH did I think there would be some much C2 Erg hawt talk. This truly is a place for try hards.
Sounds like a failure of imagination

Off to the Westside to do squats with a chick who looks like Tauriel
Yep, I hate sci fi anc dungeons and dragons.

Red heads are the best heads tho.

Guess I should stay in my lane as I have never been to a Renaissance fair and don't know shit about Lord of the Rings.

Nerdlarping aside, so what I'm hearing is that setting 10 on my machine could be is the equivalent of setting 38 on everyone else's, and I'm actually a badass?

Or is my machine broken, 'cause I lowered it from 10 to 6 and it was somehow harder than before?
