We gave up on Jay Butterfield because we thought he was a lock for Stanford. Oregon is swinging away at both him AND DJU (who was thought to be a lock to Clemson). DJU visited Oregon recently and I was just listening to Clemson radio this morning (yes they are talking about QB recruiting on the radio) and said Oregon blew him away and now they are in a dog fight.
We didn't get any interest from DJU or Jay Butterfield who are two of the top 4 QBs on the WC.
We settled for a third tier guy because we wanted to make sure we'd get his TE teammate. -

Not sure if this is a whoosh, but even if he had no contact with players, he probably spent each week analyzing game film of the upcoming opponents and crafting a masterful game plan.CaptainPJ said:
