"They have to win the division," Bush told the Times. "This is a put-up-or-shut-up season for them, especially for Clay Helton. I'm looking to see drastic improvements. People have to be held accountable and players have to be held accountable. They have to create an environment there where players really understand the tradition of winning that came before them."
Bush's comments don't resonate exclusively because of his status in the USC community but also because of his current team. As part of Fox's college football coverage this fall, Bush and Matt Leinart -- also a former Trojans star -- will be co-workers with Urban Meyer. If things start to go south for Helton and USC, the most high-profile candidate available will be right there in Los Angeles (at least one day a week), saddled up next to two national championship-winning Trojans.
"We'll definitely be recruiting him," Bush told the Times. "What makes you think we won't be recruiters? Nothing is off the table."

The one bright side about Urban Meyer is that he'd only be at USC for about 4 years when he gets "sick" again.

Reggie fucking Bush isn't even allowed on campus and he's now publicly representing USC's coaching search. LOL

Sounds like he'll give the Bush-Push.

Him at USC would be extremely extremely horrible for the rest of us. To put it mildly…greenblood said:The one bright side about Urban Meyer is that he'd only be at USC for about 4 years when he gets "sick" again.

Here's hoping that they have zero money to hire a big name coach and are unable to raise enough private donors ... Praying

The more I've thought about it, I honestly believe that SC is done being a dominant athletic program for quite awhile . They've had clowns in charge for the best part of a decade now and haven't made any changes. They more or less have clowns in charge at the Upper Campus as well.
Honestly, why would a blue chip coach wish to work for that organization? Recruiting? Sure. but 'crootins a nationwide game now. There will always be the haves and have nots, but if a program is serious about Football and has the support in place with Upper Campus, Boosters, AD and facilities. A good coach can win anywhere and recruit from anywhere nowadays. They still have the Fun and Sun, so there's that. But if the rest of it is broke, it doesn't matter. -
Iron Laws at work bitches.
Just a matter of time.

The iron law has always been USC has shit coaches and underachieves greatly. Got lucky in the the 70's with John McKay and in the early 2000's with Pete Carroll. The rest has been nothing but disappointment and not reaching expectations. Lane Kiffin, Sark, Helton. That's USC in a nutshell.AUBURNTROJAN said:Iron Laws at work bitches.
