Myles Gaskin
I have this sinking feeling the offense will go down in flames now without him.

I hope so. We did not deserve Gaskin. Pete's offense must burn.Gladstone said:Single-handedly covered up a legion of warts on our garbage offense for literally four years. I still think through it all he is underrated both by Husky fans and everyone else. GOAT UW RB1

Hard to put anybody over Dillon as GOAT IMO. Saw them both. Obvi different runners and obvi Dillon was rented. But that guy was a man among boys in college.Gladstone said:Single-handedly covered up a legion of warts on our garbage offense for literally four years. Really just depends on how you define GOAT at that point. Pure athleticism or production?creepycoug said:

Dillon was ridiculously productive. I think the better question is are we talking best per game or biggest contributor over a career? No one will ever be better on a per game basis than Dillon. But he didn't play very many of them for us.UW_Doog_Bot said:

Exactly.

You'd have to pro forma Dillon over a four-year career to compare MMFG, who was here for the full term.UW_Doog_Bot said:

Don't twist: the OP is basically a point I've made over and over here. W/o Myles you? guysm have a much different record. He was at times overwhelming, at other times surgical. When surgical, he was either the player who turned the tide back to Washington, or acted as the final dagger. He kept Washington in games in which it was trying to be blown out ... I saw that little fucker do all of those things and moar. Small af and took a beating and still produced.
The terrorist has a WAYS to go to even approach Myles. He's not half the insider runner ... I'm using "half" literally here ... not half as tough and doesn't break half the tackles. The terrorist goes down on first touch. Gaskin never did.
I get everybody's boner over Jake leaving ... addition by subtraction and all that. But replacing Gaskin will prove to be at least as important. -
The offense will be better in spite of losing him. Gaskin had to scratch and claw for yards in most games because defenses didn't respect the downfield pass. Adding that element will make life easy, way easier for the committee this year. That and a solid to good line end to end.
Best Petersen team yet at UW is my prediction. Doogin... -
You raise a good point that isn't repeated enough: MMFG did what he did despite playing in a telephone booth because safeties rarely, if ever, respected Jake.chuck said:The offense will be better in spite of losing him. UW has been ridiculously gifted some great running backs that seemed to come out of nowhere. Chris Polk, a converted WR, Bishop Sankey a coug flip, MMFG, not a big time recruit but immediately staked his claim. All of them basically carried our trash heap of an offense to varying levels of success. So I’m basically saying don’t worry someone will magically save us.
