Matt's been doing solid work on the long term damage to the media on getting way over their skis....

This fiasco will surely end up being a net plus for Trump. The obstruction parts of the report make him look like a brainless goon and thug, but the absence of what Mueller repeatedly calls “underlying crime” make his ravings about an elitist mob out to get him look justified. This is not an easy thing to achieve, but we’re there, and the press is a big part of that picture.

Escaping the commission of an underlying crime that you really wanted to commit, but you weren't competent enough to achieve, isn't a defense to obstruction or a great look.

Who, of sound mind, would ever trust the media again? The lies, one sided reporting, the declarations of Trump being guilty of collusion, treason, entire networks reaping the rewards of those lies and then doubling down. Again, who, besides brain dead democrats, would ever trust the media again?

This last two years was an amazing shit show of lack of responsible journalism. Other than FOX there isn't one main stream media source that gave any other perspective other than that of a brain dead liberal. We all knew the MSM is 93% democrat dominated and if anyone needed any confirmation of liberal bias they sure as hell got it this last 2 years. You can't even find a MSM source (again other than FOX) who will even report on the excellent economy and the incredible impact on millions of Americans that this job market is providing. They not only spewed their bias about Trump but they are withholding from their viewers anything good that is happening with our country.

Look, I've been extremely vocal here that I think he's a reckless, dips hit and a disgrace to the office. My opinion hasn't changed. Perhaps the obstruction piece would look stronger if crimes had been committed.

Yes which is why the administration supplied millions of pages of documents, 1000's of hours of testimony and always said yes to Mueller. And what crime are you accusing Trump and team of wanting to commit this time?

“Fake news? Mueller isn’t buying it,” writes David Bauder of the Associated Press. He noted that with a “few exceptions,” Mueller’s investigation “repeatedly supports news reporting that was done on the Russia probe over the last two years.”

Bauder added the report showed “several instances where the president and his team sought to mislead the public.” He congratulated the New York Times and Washington Post for correctly reporting that White House counsel Don McGahn had been ordered to find a way to fire Mueller.

Trump, Bauder noted, had called this “fake news, folks, fake news.” It wasn’t. And neither were some other stories.

So, yay journalism! You were more truthful than Donald Trump, at times. This is like being proud of beating a fish at Boggle.

We’re not trying to be right more often than Trump — we’re trying to not be wrong, ever. It’s a standard, not a competition.

You know what was fake news? Most of the Russiagate story. There was no Trump-Russia conspiracy, that thing we just spent three years chasing. The Mueller Report is crystal clear on this.

Trump fired Comey. He didn't need help to fire Mueller

They wanted him to fire Mueller. If he was that stupid he would have

I'm sure he railed about a lot in the Oval Office

You ought to see our office sometime
