Did you guys know that Reagan only lost MN to @RaceBannon 's beloved Walter Mondale by less than 4,000 votes. This would have been the only 50 state clean sweep (DC sucks and NOC) in the history of the Republic. I had know idea it was that close.

I worked with a guy from Wyoming, then various other places in the Midwest before heading to Seattle, he was relating how throughout the Midwest Reagan had a radio program that was popular as hell.
Maybe first right wing talk radio?
He was stating that it was no surprise that the election was so lopsided because of that radio show. -

It wasn't so much a "radio show" as it was daily/weekly radio commentary that was broadcast on stations all over the country. The commentary was only just a few minutes long and they ran a couple times a week.
