These are the kind of great posts that detract from the nonsense here and perhaps a time out is in order for @DoogCouricsDoogCourics said:UW had the 3rd highest closing percentage on prospective offers in the 2019 Class at 24.2%. 23 commits off of 95 offers. Only Stanford and UTEP had a higher rates:

It looks like the downturn in 2018 was caused byJake Browningthe less than steller 15, 16, and 17 classes yet the down year was a Pac 12 title so we have that going for us which is nice
The assumption being that Petersen can actually coach and he now has far greater talent so look the fuck out

Since most classes are close to the same size, aren't the number of scholarships offered and the closing rate directly correlated?

Yes. Which is why it’s impressive when you keep landing the same size classes but offer substantially less kids, and meanwhile the mean talent has gone up the entire time.UWhuskytskeet said:Since most classes are close to the same size, aren't the number of scholarships offered and the closing rate directly correlated?

Best closing ratio yet, and the 3rd straight class with double digit Blue Chips.
Now that Lake is in charge, expecting the closing ratio to drop. UW has already offered 58 kids in the 2021 class. -
Agree he's going to have them swinging and missing on more guys. I think he'll get a couple more blue chips per year too. Or maybe I just hope that.DoogCourics said:DoogCourics said:

With the big in-State class, there is potential for this class to be highly ranked, but I think we will generally recruit at the same level. Somewhere around 15th in the country most years. Gonna take a few years of winning for it to get a lot better and even then, there are other good teams to that recruit well every single year.chuck said:
