This is such a great stat. You just know they compiled this in order to refute the "myth" that people on Welfare just don't want to work. So if you worked at all during a given year, they don't say for how long you "worked" appears that it could have been just a week or two in any given year, and you're on Food Stamps you're counted as part of the 74% of people on Food Stamps who "work." -

You are being exposed as being the guy at the end of the bar screaming "we should end all welfare and people can go back to work!!!!".
