Did Sean Miller just hint that he's leaving Arizona after this season?

If anyone in the Tucson / Nogales Metroplex is in the market for a new couch (el sofá) it sounds like Sean Miller may have one available shortly.

Hard to coach when one is in prison.

You have to think that most of his #1 ranked recruiting class will be back on the market. Both Nico Mannion and Josh Green had UW offers

Sounds like someone that knows that he'll be resigning shortly after losing on Wednesday in Vegas

This is going to be fascinating to watch play out because like you said, this is way bigger at this point for Arizona than just Sean Miller

There's no question that he's going to resign about a day or two after Arizona's season is "officially" over ... it wouldn't shock me if they said that they weren't going to accept a NIT bid

There's really no reason for them to have kept Miller this year and there should be hell to pay either within the Athletic Department at minimum if not in the President suite. It wouldn't shock me if the Regents came in heavy handed here. The current AD cut his teeth at Oregon for 18 years ... so that's pretty telling. The President's background is all medical so that makes me think that it was a real targeted hire. Both of them came to the University in 2017 ... so why either of them are tied to Miller is really mind boggling to me because the last thing you want starting a tenure is a full blown scandal that you inherited and basically stood back and did nothing to stop.

Bigger picture, I can absolutely see things pretty much going South in a hurry for Arizona. The NCAA in my mind has really no choice but to really target and go hard after the programs where you have coaches on record paying players. Louisville at least gets some credit for taking immediate action on Pitino. However, programs like LSU (Wade was well known to be a subject on this) as well as Arizona (wide spread throughout the program) should get hit hard. What will be interesting is what kind of investigations are taken and how many well heeled boosters get implicated in this.

I suspect that a lot of Arizona boosters realize that sinking money into the football program isn't going to get them anywhere. So I suspect that they will continue to take whatever remains to sustain and keep the basketball program on the best footing possible.

It's about to get really lean for Arizona ... get the popcorn ready.

If he lies on the stand he gone. If he tells the truth on the stand he gone. If he takes the 5th on the stand he gone. He has no place to go with this situation other than resign.

Writing was on the wall the moment it came out he was on tape with Dawkins. The fact that U of A let this play out for over two seasons while the info was more than available speaks volumes. The AD and President have been supporting him because the program is the only cash cow at the University, regents wanted him gone last year. They should have cleaned house when it all came to the surface but the boosters run the show in Tucson (Miller just needs more moar tim), they all said just you wait until you see his next recruiting class, clinging to the future hope of the basketball team, like it's the second coming of Jesus because we are small town southwestern douche bags with nothing better to do.

The best part is, everyone who has been following this story knew they had the big fish on the line all along but the boosters continued to put their heads in the desert sand. The coach was on a FBI wire tap but that wasn't enough. The FBI knocked on Miller's door with a search warrant at 4 in the morning but no big deal. Agents and runners had back door passes to practices, but hey who cares. Then in a completely unrelated case, Miller's assistant was convicted of bribery. Then came the subpoena. Now it's suddenly better to distance themselves from Miller and the funneling of money, that they funded, when they have a chance. The AD and President who sat idle as this all played out should go down as well.

For all the great players that have gone through that program, all they have to show for it is one championship 20 years ago and even worse, everyone in Tucson will tell you where they were when they were sucking each other off during the so called dynasty. Lute even has a statue outside McKale - who makes a statue of someone who is still alive? The boosters of Tucson, that's who, because naming the court after him wasn't enough. Hopefully they will hire Kevin O'Neal part two and they can go back to their rightful shit hole place in the pac-12.

Just a few off the top of my head, Alabama has Saban out front, TCU has Patterson out front the Chicago Bulls have Jordan. Which of the three is not like the other? LOL, TCU.

I freaking love it. Instead of the standard get rid of the coach, say thats not what the school stands for, self sanction, etc. they completely doubled down thinking that last season they had a shot to win it all.

Bounced out in the first round. Shitty year this year. No chance at keeping the recruiting class for a shitty year next year. Head coach fired/resigning in shame.

Even now they claim that Miller knew nothing and he and arizona are victims of his 2 lone wolf coaches. Nevermind that he's been implicated by the FBI and even if he weren't, it's basketball. There are like 5 recruits a year. All of them got money offers for other schools and miraculously chose tucson.

    Unreal.

It couldnt work out any better.
