Same reality if we? won today. Beating Oregon doesn’t mattergreenblood said:Washington is in trouble if they lose their only pac 12 tourney game. They have zero quality wins to hang their hat on.
And let’s not forget this is basketball -

We would have been in without this loss. Now we have to win at least one in the P12T. -
This couldn't be further from the truth. Quality wins matter just as much as horrible losses. Over the course of the last 4 games we went from clear a tourney team to a bubble team. When you're on the bubble(and we are firmly on the bubble now) the committee will look at the last 10 games. I will never buy the shit that they don't look at how teams are playing coming in. Our last 4 games included 2 loses and 2 wins vs bottom barrel of the league. We lost to a 6-22 team. We should have lost to stanford and got lucky. Another close shave against the beavs and then the blowout vs oregon.LoneStarDawg said:

As I said after the Kal game, teams will have the option to play into and out of the tourney. UW is firmly planting themselves as playing out of the tourney. Shitty reality, but the PAC12 was a one bid league(tourney winner) with the low chance uw would rattle off all those wins and then maybe lose in the conf finals. Right now they would have to get to the conf finals and then I still think we're out.
The only reason I could see UW getting in if they made conf finals and didn't win is that the committee doesn't want to hear how another Power 5 Reg season champ isn't in the tourney. It will be like a pity fuck that will only prolong the pain. -
Couple of fun facts for any bandwagon crisp fans.
His two highest FGA games UW lost. In the last 4 games our "PG" has 7 assists including 1 last night, and ZERO vs stanford. He had 8 TO's meaning a less than 1/1 A/TO ratio.
Wonder what it would be like to have a PG. Well, we're about to find out next year when we have a 5*.
Onward and upward -
Depends on what happens in the non-shithole conferences that take basketball seriously like the WCC and Mountain West.HillsboroDuck said:

If Nevada and Gonzaga win them as expected, or even St Mary's or Utah State do, UW is probably fine. If Fresno State or San Francisco sneak in, and Fresno State and USF are currently ranked higher than eight Pac-12 teams on the NET and Ken Pom rankings, we? are a one-bid conference.
The fact that the WCC has five top-90 teams on Ken Pom and the Pac-12 has four is kind of, sort of, concerning. -
Fwiw bubble watch on ESPN (which is usually really accurate) has UW as a lock.

Fetters says this loss is good because now UW will be playing with a chip on their shoulder. In response to the observation that UW played like shit following a loss to lowly Cal, Chris pointed out that UW won 2 of their next 3. Checkmate.

UW is trending upward, but like in football, a weak conference holds the top teams back. A one loss Pac 12 team is very unlikely to make the CFP, and a Pac 12 league champion in basketball now has to make noise in the conference tourney if they didn’t make noise in the OOC. Fire Larry

Everyone decided over a month ago that UW would be the only team in and stopped watching the Pac 12 thereafter.ntxduck said:Fwiw bubble watch on ESPN (which is usually really accurate) has UW as a lock.
You guys are acting like a bunch of scared doogs.
